Ed, In relation to Acts 15:29 it's important to note that animal sacrifice was practiced my many of the pagan religions of that day. I don't know if that has application today. But your reference to taking communion with unconfessed and I will say unresolved sin as well as an unworthy manner which can mean as you say in an ignorant manner is right on. I might say though that I don't know that any of us will fully understand the full significance of all this until we stand before God. I think there are times though when we take communion when we come to God with a blase attitude or where are hearts are simply not there then we definitely have a problem. In Him, lionheart |

Lionheart I'm even more concerned when I hear parents of children saying their kids have no idea of what is going on all they want is the fullest cup and the biggest piece of bread. I then asked why do you allow your child to participate if that is the case. Their answer, " to keep peace." I may be very wrong on this but I think these parents may one day find themselves in a very uncomfortable position as they stand before the Lord. |
