GreggB As BradK said that is the unknowable but estimates place a number as high as 75- 90 percent that attend church and are in fact living without the a true salvation experience. That is an horrendous number and and something that should make every Christian quake. We are called to be disciple makers, to make disciples. Yet we live our own little lives smiling and shaking hands with people at church but failing ever to get involved in their lives. Ask yourself these questions. How many people are you activity disciplining? How many have you? I don't mean lead them in the sinners prayer but actually teaching them Christianity. I imagine your answer will be as most Christians, I'm not and I haven't. As I said most will have to say this. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matt 28:19-20 (NKJV) EdB |

Hi, Brother Ed... I wouldn't be surprised at that percentage. I wanted to say, though, that I appreciate your comments on mentoring. This does seem to be the example we are given in scripture. We should each be mentoring someone and have a mentor ourselves. Thank you, Ed, for reminding us of this. | ||||||
