1 | Difference backsliden or not saved? | Rom 7:19 | Lightliving3 | 173327
What is the difference between backsliden and not really being saved. My husband asked Jesus into his heart and for a time he was a completely different person. I don't think he was acting or just trying on his own to be different, because the transformation was so dramatic. Now, he stll believes in God, but if I was a stranger looking at how he lived his life I would in no way think he was saved. Thanks |

2 | Difference backsliden or not saved? | Rom 7:19 | Searcher56 | 173328
Scripture ... Romans 7:15-25 ................ God's day to you, Lightliving3, and welcome to the SBF, Only God and your husband knows if he is saved. I had posted an answer about the phrase "asked Jesus into his heart" earlier today. There are several points. 1. What was he believing in? 2. Was it from the heart? 3. Was his confession based on his belief? We all backslide ... that is we regress in the process of being molded into His image (Rom 8:29) ... even Paul did (7:15-25). We don't give advice here ... us oldtimers. May I suggest you send your husband to your pastor to sort this out. Searcher |
