Doctrinity, Hmmm... I'd be careful of eisegesis. Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 does say that humans and animals are both have the same fate. However, that Scripture is simply affirming the mortality of both. By the way, when modern people ask these questions -- the ancients wouldn't have imagined it! -- they are often thinking of cats and dogs. (I can't think of a passage of Scripture that talks about pets at all... maybe I'm wrong there.) Nevertheless, both cats and dogs are unclean animals. I'm not sure that that necessarily means that they won't be in heaven -- but at least they won't be in the City Foursquare (Revelation 21:27).
