1 | Jesus and the father - different wills? | John 6:38 | hgray104 | 123266
This verse seems to indicate that Jesus has a different will than God. Other verses support this theory. If Jesus is God, how can that be? A skeptic asked this question of me and I cannot answer it. Maybe you can.
2 | Jesus and the father - different wills? | John 6:38 | jlpangilinan | 123417
Christ stated that to show obedient to His Father. We have to realize that at the time speak that as a human being that can feel pain sorrow and other feelings that human being had. Joh 11:35 Jesus wept. Jesus cried He felt sorrow when His friend died. We have to realize that one of the will of the Father for Him is to die on the cross to save us, and that was a painful death. Mt 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. As human (at the time) if not because obedience Christ himself want to let that "cup" pass from Him (the painful death) but because of obedience Christ said "nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." a total submission to the will of the Father. That not meant that they have different will. Joh 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. When they judge, they judge not alone but with His Father. I hope it would helps. God bless, |
