Dear dbaggett49, Please always check to see if this question has been asked before. Over the years we get lots of questions, and it is amazing how often the same question gets repeated! :-) Jesus weeping was different than the weeping we see in verse 33. In verse 33 it speaks of a kind of ritualized wailing that was used in the Jewish culture in lamenting a person's death. The word in verse 35 uses a different Greek word meaning to shed tears. Jesus could well be identifying with human suffering, both in the sorrow of death of His friend, the grief of his sisters, and a sorrow for the hardness of the hearts of the Jews. In Him, Doc |

To all that answer the question that I ask about Jesus weeping, I sorry that i use weeping try to learn about Jesus and i did mean Jesus wept. So if I use the word weeping instead of wept I'm sorry if I hurted feelings please forgive me. I new to this and I'm really wanted to know if He wept for his friend or for people because I have heard that he wept for the people. | ||||||
