Hi, appreciate your view, i've always taken the view you've put, but wanted to try and explore the scripture in more depth rather than just take the 'normal' answer, since in my study times i'm wanting to really start to explore the 'whys' behind scripture and be safe in asking the pointy questions of God, and i guess the Gospel of John is the first book i've started to really 'get into' rather than just 'get through' if you see what i mean. I was wondering for myself, if in someway Jesus was able to see things like they would be taking place in the heavenlies, and therefore just doing the same here on earth, since the knock on implication is, if Jesus was able to see what the Father was doing in the heavenlies, then why can't we, and then do as we see the Father do, hope this makes sense?? |

Dear oxtobyd, Jesus Himself answers your question, when he said, "Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9 ESV) And elsewhere he said, "And whoever sees Me sees Him who sent Me." (John 12:45 ESV) See also 2 Corinthians 4:6; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:3; and 1 John 5:20. In Him, Doc |
