Beloved Searcher56, we sense a high level of tension in the tone of your note to us, please understand we have not followed your posts and so thought you would enjoy the search for yourself. However, since you press us for an answer, which you seem to already have and feel sure of (perhaps so you can feel justified by the popular consensus of men, instead of trusting the Holy Spirit, which searches all things, even the thoughts of God or perhaps because you simply have a quarreling spirit and are always up for a good fight, which is nothing more than an endless mind game between ego’s), we shall in any case give you our answer... truly it was Thursday my friend. We hope it was the one you hoped to see from us, and that we can touch through the many miles and agree, for it was confirmed to us by the Holy Spirit many years ago and feel assured of our position on this simple matter. Beloved so that you are clear with our position on the front side, if your answer is different, we truly do not wish to discuss it any further with you, for what would it accomplish except further division. We suggest you just pray on it and seek God’s guidance on the subject instead. Beloved Abba, we give you thanks and praise and honor and glory, For sending Your one and only Son to die in our place and all you continue to do for your beloved children! Bless us and bring us to complete unity so that we may enjoy true loving fellowship in the brotherhood without strife, quarreling and division. We ask these things and thank You in advance, for it is Your perfect divine will, for Your beloved children to live in peace… In the Wonderful name of Your one and only Son Yahoshua (Jesus)! With God’s love, child of light 777 |

Scripture ... 1 Sam 30:12, Jonah 1:17, Matt 12:40, Matt 21:1-28:20, Mark 11:1-16:20, Luke 19:28-24:53, John 12:1-20:31 ... Ask a Jewish rabbi what that phrase "three days and three nights" means. If Jonah entered the fish on the second day of the week (Monday), when was he released (Jonah 1:17)? Does the Bible say "three days" or "three days and three nights". If anyone leaves out the "three nights" they are taking away from Scripture. Matt 12:40 says "three days and three nights". The "Friday" is an error of tradition. - Day 1 Thursday day (6am-6pm) - Nite1 Thursday nite (6am-6pm) - Day 2 Friday day (6am-6pm) - Nite2 Friday nite (6am-6pm) - Day 3 Saturday day (6am-6pm) - Nite3 Saturday nite (6am-6pm) Going backwards, we know that two disciples were going to Emmaus in Luke 24:21 It is Sunday (Nisan 17, Firstfruits). In verse 21, it says today is the third day since He died. That makes it Thursday. - Saturday would be the first day since today - Friday would be the second day since today - Thursday would be the third day since today Study the last week of His life (Matt 21:1-28:20, Mark 11:1-16:20, Luke 19:28-24:53, John 12:1-20:31) ... look at each event of each day. "He left them and went out of the city to Bethany where he spent the night" (Matt 21:17). - Nisan 11 (Su/Mo) - Fig Tree Cursed - Three days before the Passover ... (Matt 21:18-22, Mark 11:12-18, Luke 19:47). On "the next day. . . ." (Mark 11:12). - Nisan 12 (Mo/Tu) - Olivet Discourse - Two days before the Passover ... (Matt 21:23--25:46, Mark 11:19-13:37, Luke 20:1-21:38) The next day, "as they were passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up." (Mark 11:20) After a day at the Temple, Jesus gave His discourse on the Mount of Olives. Mark 14:1-2 is still the same day. Matthew 26:2-5 is a cross reference, verse 2 says "You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be delivered up for crucifixion." - Nisan 13 (evening) (Tu) - At Simon's - One day before the Passover ... (Matt 26:1-16, Mark 14:3-11, Luke 22:1-6, John 12:1-7). That evening was the supper where Mary anointed Jesus for burial, and Judas went to the chief priests to betray Jesus. - Nisan 13 (daytime) (We) - Preparing for the Passover (Matt 26:17-19, Mark 14:12-16, Luke 22:7-13) The phrase "First Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread" can begin as early as Nisan 13 when leaven is removed from the homes. - Nisan 14 (evening) (We) - Last Supper, Arrest and More (Matt 26:20-27:10, Mark 14:17-72, Luke 22:14-71, John 13:1-18:27) "When evening came" (Mark 14:17) - Nisan 14 (daytime) (Th) - Preparation Day/ Killing of The Lamb (Matt 27:11-61, Mark 15:1-47, Luke 23:1-56, John 18:28-19:42) Mark 15:1 says "Very early in the morning." Scripture ... Luke 24:21 "But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, it is the third day since these things happened." Let us see ... the "third day since" means what? Luke 24:1 says "But on the first day of the week" ... lets us say Sat/Sun (Sunday) - the first day since would be Fri/Sat (Saturday) - the second day since would be Thu/Fri (Friday) - the third day since would be Wed/Thu (Thursday) "A common Hebrew idiom was that any part of a day could be counted as a whole day and night" but if YOU go ask a rabbi, what would you hear. |
