1 | Judas called him "Master", not "Lord" | Mark 14:45 | Makarios | 57973
Interesting commentary on Mark 14:45... "Master" "Never once in the Gospel record does Judas Iscariot call Jesus "Lord." He was the first Arian amongst the professed followers of Jesus. No one can in reality say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost, (1 Corinthians 12:3) but it is possible to use the term as an empty formality without believing the Lordship of Christ; Matthew 7:21; 25:11,12." 2 | Judas called him "Master", not "Lord" | Mark 14:45 | Darktanianxx | 58216
Jesus told Peter flesh and blood has not reaveled this to you(that Jesus was/is The Lord), but my father in Heaven. It was revealed to Peter as a gift.Peters heart was in the right place before God. Judas could not see because of the condition of his heart. The same goes for us and our hearts. Not all are wheat, and not all are tares. Peter was wheat, and Judas was tare. It's also that way in the ministry. Be careful what you hear. Many will come and say that Jesus is the Christ, and will decieve many. We cannot be decieved if we love God AND seek to know Him. Jesus is the example of Gods heart. Jesus said "learn of me"! He is the key.....The way, the truth and the life!.............Good point Makarios! :)
3 | Judas called him "Master", not "Lord" | Mark 14:45 | kalos | 58347
"...many will come in My name [appropriating to themselves the name Messiah which belongs to Me], saying, I am He!" According to Darktanianxx, "Many will come and say that Jesus is the Christ, and will decieve many." According to Luke 21:8 (AMPLIFIED), And He said, Be on your guard and be careful that you are not led astray; for many will come in My name [appropriating to themselves the name Messiah which belongs to Me], saying, I am He! and, The time is at hand! Do not go out after them. |
