DeniseG I want you to know that God does not take marriage so lightly that He wants to see it fail. The scripture is clear that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). I also want you to know that I understand how it can be a scary thing to pray for something you want so badly with fear of disappointment. However, I've learned through my relationship with God that no matter what His answer is, or what outcome He allows, He hasn't changed. He is still faithful. He is still the God I trust. I've learned that what ever his plans be for me, I can fully trust his will. (Jer. 29:11 is one verse I always cling to.) That being said - I don't believe God ever wills divorce. However, WE as sinful humans choose our own way and not God's too much of the time. Continue praying for your marriage. Follow God's Word, especially in regards to what He calls a wife to be and do. (1 Peter 2:13 - 3:9 is one section of scripture I'd recommend studying.) Trust God - pray about whatever is on your heart.. even your fears of disappointment. Ask for wisdom, ask for Him to teach you His perspectives and His mindset about whatever it is, in this case marriage. I'll pray with you. In Christ, Bojangles207 |
