1 | Can a divorced christian be a minister? | Matt 19:9 | minister_me | 124058
Hi, EdB I apologize for the lack of detail in my original question. My ex-wife and I are already divorced, only because she refused to seek help. My initial hurt and pain began when she first committed adultry over 3 years ago, so by this point the only feelings that remain are of concenr for her soul and a wish to see her again in fellowship with God. My calling began almost 4 years ago and my wife's adultry only began after my calling was made public. Unfortunatly, I now feel that Satan knew he could not remove my desire to God's will , so he attacked my wife in order to remove me from being an effective minister. Perhaps in our wives, all ministers have there ultimate weekness, a qualification which is out of their control. I do appreciate your point of view, and will consider all advice when it comes time to commit to a choice. I do pray that only His will be done , and honor and glory only be given to him.

minister_me Your only looking at the results and not the reason. There is a reason your wife did what she did you need to understand and deal with that. Again are you sure without a doubt you have a call on your life to be a pastor? Or is the call to do some other service for God? Or is there even a call but instead a burden to serve God. If you read scripture are you sure that sure that God would call you on your qualifications? Without a doubt? EdB |
