2 | What is the Greek word for grape juice? | Num 6:3 | Makarios | 25000 | ||
Greetings again Sherlock! Here is Numbers 6:3 out of the Greek Septuagint (LXX).. "3 apo oinou kai sikera agnisyhsetai apo oinou kai oxov ex oinou kai oxov ek sikera ou pietai kai osa katergazetai ek stafulhv ou pietai kai stafulhn prosfaton kai stafida ou fagetai" The Greek word "oinou" (wine) is used twice in this verse that reads as "he shall abstain from wine and strong drink; he shall drink no vinegar, whether made from wine or strong drink, nor shall he drink any grape juice nor eat fresh or dried grapes." in the NASB. So I was incorrect, "oinos" is the correct Greek word equivalent for the Hebrew 'mishrah', according to the translators of the Septuagint.
