We were discussing Numbers 14 in our Sunday school class, and I was wondering what the significance of "twenty" is in the Hebrew language. I found in my search that not only were those under twenty allowed to go into to the promise land, but they were not counted in the census. Why was that? | ||||||

Kelkat, Exo 30:14 says it was the age when one is give the contribution to the LORD. Lev 1:18ff is the military age and when men began to be counted. It may of been the age when one became an adult, making decisons; at the very least those under twenty did not fight. Steve |
