Yes, you are correct. How do we accomplish this? MK 12:30 AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ In this, we will find that our purpose will be to bring glory to Him. In th process of bringing glory to Him, our fellowship with Him grows. How much more glory can we bring to God, but by making Him master of all? (I think I said that correctly, I've not had a good day with trip by ambulance to the hospital this morning.) Brad |

Hi, Brad... You're right: No one is capable of "making Him master of all." No, indeed, for if anyone could make Him such, that one would be greater than God. For God is already sovereign (Psalm 83:13; 1 Timothy 6:15)! God has already wrought an incredible work in us (Isaiah 43:19), something wonderful! He has made dead men alive (Ephesians 4:2-8), made sinners to be able to stand before a holy Judge (Romans 5:8-10), and drew enemies together into a living temple (Ephesians 2:18-22)... with more to come! God has done all of this... we haven't done it... He will not share His glory... He has done it all and He will receive all the glory for it... and great is that glory indeed! Therefore... THEREFORE... we earnestly seek Him -- because He is Creator -- draw close to Him -- because He is worthy -- love Him -- because of His great love and great perfect beauty -- and obey Him -- because He is Lord of All. We do these things confidently because He has already accomplished them! Talk about a sure thing! :-) In Him, Doc |
