2 | King Cyrus' spirit 'stirred'? | Ezra | Searcher56 | 10915 | ||
Nolan, I will not go wierd. Since I am not the Lord, I don't know how He did it ... but, as with Moses' Pharaoh, whose heart God hardern ... He does His part and they still had a choice. Neither were not followers of God. Now to your other question, if he knew God had already written about him ... -if he knew before God's stirring, maybe there was some resistance, so God had to ask him again. -He could of used Daniel to present the idea. -if he did not know, God had to plant this idea in his head. It was very unusual for letting people to have a temple to their god. As I was typing I thought of God's visit to Abimelech (Gen 20:6ff). He moves men, but, we still have a choice-tho we may not like the results. Steve |
