My thought: Was that GOD would not allow Samuel's return. He would not allow Lazerus to return to warn his relatives. Could it have been a Demon? |

Hello sox1515, We know that the dead have appeared to the living. Moses was on the mount with Jesus. And, of course, that was a special circumstance. God can do as he pleases. It certain is odd for God to allow Samuel to be summoned by the witch, but evidently there was a valuable lesson that needed to be taught to Saul. As for Lazarus, nobody forbade him from returning to warn the rich man's relatives. Abraham just explained that it would do no good. (See Luke 16:19-31) Steve |

I agree that there is a great chasm fixed between the dead in torment and the dead in Abraham's bosom. But I was speaking of the possible interaction between the dead and the living--another matter entirely. Steve |
