1 | such an angry god in exodus? | Exodus | bravostarr | 46635 | ||
i'm reading the first few books of the bible, and i feel like i am reading about a different god than that which is presented in the new testament. i know jesus changed stuff -- but i feel as though i am reading about an angry God always needing someone to find favor in his eyes. i know God was testing moses, but god was so hard on him. its not like the people had the holy spirit dwelling inside back then. am i looking about it the wrong way? |

Hello bravostarr God was intentionally hard in order to show us how sinful we are. (This will become more clear when you get to Galatians.) As you read carefully, you find examples of God's love and grace and mercy. It's there. But His righteousness and justice come out more clearly, that we might seek Him. Does that help? Steve |
