1 | Was the curse on the ground lifted? | Gen 8:21 | bjh | 177523
But, looking at Romans 8, the present earth has yet to be restored. The cleaned earth, the Restored earth, the freed earth, is yet to come. Not to say it "has been" set free, but rather it "will be"... future tense. Whatever we eat, even though we're able to eat anything according to Acts 10, we're still under the Genesis 3 curse. Work is still hard, toilsome, tiring, and exhausting. All that is directly related to the Genesis 3 curse. Is it not? |

Hi bjh I do not want to give you all the verses. If I did would you study the BOOK? Work- at first it was a blessing! ( Gen 2;5 ) Sin entered,it changed as everything did. Present age; Age of GRACE, Is work still hard, tiring, and exhausting? Yes and no: It depends on your position in CHRIST and the knowledge and use of the WORD. A few verses to help answer your question. 1 John 1:5-10, Eph. 2:10, Luke 11:9-13,Rom. 2:1-16, 2 Cor. 9:8, and Col.3:16-17. I stayed on this side of the CROSS, but there are more on the other side. 3 | Was the curse on the ground lifted? | Gen 8:21 | bjh | 177863
Brian, Something doesn't gel. Here's how I understand the verses you listed. 1) 1 John 1:5-10 speaks to believers about fellowship and sin's effect on our our fellowship with God. 2) Eph 2:10 speaks of the good works which God prepared for us to do 3) Luke 11:9-13 speaks of the goodness and graciousness of our Father in Heaven 4) Romans 2:1-16 speaks about the condemnation of the Jew... but incidentally, thinking about verse 1, why assume that I won't study the Book if you discussed all the verses? 5) 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 talks about giving not work 6) Colossians 3:16-17 says "do all in the name of the Lord Jesus" but says nothing about work not being hard, tiring, or exhausting. Why does Christ commend the Ephesians for their toil? (Rev 2:2) What is "toil"? Why does Paul tell Timothy that "we labor and strive"? (1 Timothy 4:10) What does it mean to "strive"? For that matter, what is "labor"? |

Hello bjh, To use your outline; 1) 1 John 1:5-10 You found the forrest, found the tree, and found the fruit. 2)Eph 2:10 You found the forrest, found the tree, and found the fruit. 3)Luke 11:9-13 You found the forrest, found the tree, but have you found the fruit? 4)Romans 2:1-16 You seem to be lost in the forrest. Rather than condemnation of the Jew. Would not GOD's principles of judgment be better? The tree and the fruit await you. 5)2 Cor. 9:6-10 You are in the forrest, the tree is so close, and the fruit is right there. 6)Col. 3:16-17 You are at the tree in the forrest. Reach up and pick the fruit Bring all the fruit together and enjoy your food. Remember Gen. 2:5 work, labor, deeds (blessings). And my answer was yes and no in the Age of Grace. Are we not to serve Jesus Christ? Was not HIS first request, To follow HIM? Rev. 2:2 toil-labor, weariness, as reducing the strength. 1 Tim. 4:10 strive-to suffer reproach labor- to feel fatigue by implication to work hard. Question; You and I one on one on a basketball court. What is it? You and I cooking and serving meals all day long on Thanksgiving at the local homeless shelter. What is it? 1 John 1:9 and 1 John 1:;7b, Brian |

5 | Was the curse on the ground lifted? | Gen 8:21 | bjh | 178411
You seem to be very fond of your analogy, but you haven't explained anything. 3) Luke 11:9-13, if you found the fruit, would you be willing to share it with others? 4) The context of Romans 2 is the condemnation of the Jew, for they did not live up to the standard by which they judged others. 5) Please explain... 6) ditto. Answers: You assume too much... I am no good at basketball or cooking. My answer to both would be "foolishness". |

6 | Was the curse on the ground lifted? | Gen 8:21 | Brian#9 | 178704
You are correct. I did not explain anything, but the BIBLE dose. Was the curse of Gen.8:21 lifted? Yes, it was the flood. Gen.8:20-22 Was the curse of Gen 3;17 lifted? No, but it can be a blessing. Man is put in the Garden of Eden to take care of it.(work, labor, deeds, etc. in a sinless enviroment) Gen 2:15 ( blessing ) Work, labor, deeds, etc. now. Is this a blessing or a curse? First you must be a believer in CHRIST. 1 John 1:5-10; You must maintain your relationship with CHRIST. 1 John 1:9, 1 John 1:7b. Eph. 2:10; Our rightful place and the works that GOD has prepared us to do. Luke 11:9-13; GOD's promise that HE will give you the best. Luke 11:13. You must work ( put forth effort ) to receive it; ask, seek, knock, pray. Rom. 2:11-16; GOD's Principles of Judgment not just the condemnation of the Jews; verse 9) and also the Gentiles, verse 10) and also the Gentiles, verse 11) no respect of persons with GOD. Tribulation and anguish for doing evil. Rom. 2:9. 2 Cor. 9:6-10; If in GOD's will, doing GOD's will. GOD's grace to do it, having all sufficiency in all things while doing. 2 Cor. 9:8. Col. 3:16-17; Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the LORD JESUS. Col. 3:17. 1 Cor. 10:31; Whatever you do, do all to the glory of GOD. Work, labor, deeds, etc. are a blessing HIS way,in HIS grace and your focus on HIM not on me, myself and I. Do it any way other than HIS. You pay the price. Luke 11:9. Your position in CHRIST,knowledge of the WORD, and faith are the keys to make work a blessing. May the LORD guide you in your study. 1 John 1:9 and 1 John 1:7b, Brian |
