Mark, thank you for your consideration of my point. May I make one more observation for your consideration. Does the Bible speak of any other moral agents other than angels and man? We see in Jude and a couple of other passages where angels who have sinned are being held for judgement so we can deduce that angels are or at least were moral agents at one time choosing to obey or disobey the Creator. So I propose that the unclean spirits or demons must come from this order or created beings since we know that God did not originally create any being in a fallen state or per se "evil". I may have made too great a leap to assume that the unclean spirits and demons were at one time angels but I would be grabbing at straws that simply are not in the Bible to say what other possible sources there are for them. Also, we are told that satan sent an angelos(translated messenger in the NIV) to torment Paul in 2 Cro 12:7. If you know of any indications of any other moral beings clearly shown in the Bible I would appreciate any direction or correction. I can only go with what the Holy Spirit has illuminated in my study and I am far from being fluent in the Bible at this point in my walk. In Christ alone, fedexguy(Dean) | ||||||

Hello Dean, I don't think you are stretching things too far. Angels are indeed moral agents. The fall of stars of heaven mentioned in Rev 12:4 is often viewed as an historical event when these angels followed Satan in his rebellion. Steve |
