1 | David selected 5 stones. Why five? | Gen 1:1 | Hank | 147656
Kalos: Today this pilgrim went upon Mount Ozark there to consult with the World's Wisest Wizard, Cousin Caleb Cuthbert, thus to find peace by obtaining an answer to the question, "Why did David select five stones?" .... Cousin Caleb had the answer, as I knew he would, because Cousin Caleb knows many things -- about shoes and ships and sealing wax and even cabbages and kings and why bathtubs have rings and a bee stings and a bird sings and a pong pings. Cousin Caleb said to me, "How many tribes were there in Israel?" I said, "Twelve." He then said, "And how many days in the week?" I said, "Seven." He then said, "Subtract seven from twelve. What do you get?" I said, "Five." Then Caleb said, "See there, wasn't that easy? That's why David used five stones, don't you see?" I said, "Yes, I see it clearly now." ..... What a revelation! and to think it was right before my eyes all the time. But it took the wisdom and razor-sharp mind of Cousin Caleb Cuthbert to point it out to me. I'm so powerfully grateful to have Cousin Caleb in the family. When he speaks, I listen. --Hank
