I just wanted to say thank you for correcting my scripture referance. I must have been half asleep because I had just read that right befor I typed. I'm still just beginning to read my bible daily and your referances are very helpful for me. Thanks for all the info!
2 | By what authority? | Luke 20:2 | eagerfollower | 50530
I'm sorry. I did mean that Jesus was the prophet. Quick note... Isn't is awsome how in John 1:22, Jesus sees that the people want to make Him an earthly king and leaves because He is the heavenly king? What an example to us!
3 | What is this whole book really about? | Galatians | eagerfollower | 50526
Are you talking about the bible or what?
4 | What do i say to someone about drinking | Galatians | eagerfollower | 50524
Its true that Jesus drank wine but I'm sure he and His diciples wern't out getting trashed. I'm not a drinker but I will say there is a big differece here. I also believe that to be truely in the Lord you have to be able to controll your behavior. Those who are followers know that you don't need to get drunk to have a good time and that there is always joy in the Lord thus don't have the helpless desires that the unsaved do. (Not to say that christians are never tempted) It sounds like your friend might need to accept Christ as a neccesity before she can accept that alchole is not. Good job sharing the Father's word and keep on, I will pray for you. Bless you sister. |

Since Jesus IS Lord, I guess you could say He is THE prophet.
6 | When will my husband find me? | Ps 37:4 | eagerfollower | 50519
Have you tried praying? You know, God might be waiting on you. He may have a husband for you or you might find out that His plan for you is to lead you in a different direction. Try talking to Him about it. Sometimes we don't like the plan God has for us but it is our duty as loving servants to do His will. God bless |

7 | Spontaneous Human Combustion? | Bible general Archive 1 | eagerfollower | 50518
Good question! I've seen several shows on this. All I can say is that it hasn't been proven to be anything scientific yet so the only thing for now is stricly supernatural. By the way, I don't recall hearing anything about these people's spiritual life on any of the documentaries. Interesting.......
8 | By what authority? | Luke 20:2 | eagerfollower | 50517
I believe that according to Luke 20:8, Jesus is saying that we already know by who He does all things. In this case it must be from the Father.
9 | Did Peter tell the truth? | Acts 2:38 | eagerfollower | 50515
I don't believe that batism is essential for salvation. I do believe that baptism is ment to be an outward expression of your love for God and is following the example of Christ.
10 | Can God save us the way HE WANTS TOO? | Acts 2:38 | eagerfollower | 50512
I'm not really sure if baptism is man made or not. I am sure however, that Jesus was batized and He is everything the that we should be. He is never wrong. Come to think of it, isn't it God working through us anyway? God made, man made, somethimes its the same.
11 | How to Grow spiritually | Acts 2:38 | eagerfollower | 50510
There is a study book titled Experiencing God(copyright Lifeway Press 1990). I highly recomend this to help anyone looking to move their relationship with God to a higher level. I thought I loved God but now I'm aware of the way He loves us, His creation. Its incredible how much one can grow in their faith. |

I'm looking for biblical referance and opinions on when one dies, do you go directly to heaven or is there a resting period in which we wait for the Lord's return.
