1 | Are Christians allow to lie or deceive? | 1 Sam 16:2 | SuperJoshua | 138912
Yo Tim. I totally understand what you're saying. I just consider killing to be such a cheap end to life. Maybe I'm just too fantastic. I don't believe I would have much of a problem killing those that would threaten the well being of my life, or my loved ones. However, I can't really say that and believe it, before ever experiencing it. I just think there's a better way, that's all. PS Thanks! Praise Jesus! Joshua |

2 | IS THERE A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR THIS | 1 Cor 7:2 | SuperJoshua | 138910
Salutations, TimApend. Marriage is obviously ordained by God. Of course, it is your responsibility to remain godly about marriage. Matthew 19:12 says that there are some born incapable of marriage, and some are not. You obviously want a wife, and that's all good. I seriously believe that God has already set aside a wife for those of us meant for marriage. However, your focus should never be on your wife--your focus should be on God. If you can trust God and put Him first in all things, all these other things will fall into place. God has a perfect timing--just wait for it. Don't try to make things happen, or you may find yourself out of the will of God. I hope this helps. Don't lose faith, man. Praise Jesus! Joshua |

3 | Are Christians allow to lie or deceive? | 1 Sam 16:2 | SuperJoshua | 138905
Very true. In my KJV is says "kill," while in my Amplified it says "murder." Of course, that seems to be a rather fine line to me. The word murder, as far as I can tell it, implies killing unlawfully. Whose law are we talking about, though? I think it's more circumstantial than anything. I could bring up a couple hot topics, but that would prove me rather foolish...and I hope to be a little more wise than that. Thank you for your response, though. My apologies to Searcher56, too. Praise Jesus! Joshua |

God's ways are definitely higher than our ways. Revelation 21:27 says: and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. God is obviously against lying. God is also against killing as said in Exodus 20:13. Of course, God told Joshua to kill a crapload of people, along with several other characters from the Bible, including: Abraham, Moses, Gideon, and David. He didn't seem to frown much on Sampon's killing sprees either. I don't necessarily believe that the sacrifice negated the "lie." I also don't believe that Samuel lied. God told Samuel in verse one that He had already rejected Saul as king. God had already another king and was asking Samuel to go and anoint him. God didn't tell Samuel to deceive, God told him to anoint. Samuel was just fearing for his life. God does not ask us to fear for ourselves; God asks us to fear Him. If you do what God tells you to do, as He tells to do it, there is no wrong in that. Praise Jesus! Joshua |
