1 | If u r saved, can u become not saved? | Rom 7:1 | Bible Answer Guy | 41529
Hi Jess, I have a favorite verse that helps me out a lot, it is John 5:24, which does basically state that once you have been saved you have crossed over from death into life. Also there is another scripture verse that states that once we are in the Fathers hand that no one can snatch you out of His hand. Also what helps to keep in mind is that it is what Jesus Christ has done for you on the cross that will bring you into heaven. It is not based on the good that you do, or the sin that you commit. The life we strive to live after being saved is one of goodness and thanksgiving as a way to show our appreciation for what Jesus Christ has already accomplished for us. So being saved is Jesus's work, and living free is our work, in a sense. If we fall, confess your sin to Jesus, become forgiven and clean and ask for His strength to keep you from slipping. Ok friend, I hope that this helps you some, so don't worry and have a blessed day. Most importantly be a blessing to others, God bless you, your friend in Christ....Mike |

2 | Show in the Bible once saved always | Bible general Archive 1 | Bible Answer Guy | 41374
Hi Glenn, This is one of my most favorite verses in the Bible, I remind myself of this often. Hopefully this will help you in the same way concerning eternal life. It is John 5:24 where Jesus Christ is saying: Turly, truly, I say to you he who hears my word, and believes Him who sent Me, HAS eternal life, and DOES NOT come into judgement, but has passed out of death into life! Some versions say that you have crossed over from death to life, the same idea though. I hope that this helps you out some today brother, have a blessed day, and more importantly be a blessing to others. God bless you.......Mike |

3 | Will we be forgiven only so many times? | Bible general Archive 1 | Bible Answer Guy | 41372
Hi Carla, No there is not a verse that says that we will be forgiven only so many times. In fact the Bible says if we fall He will continue to pick us up. In the Psalms it says if a righteous person falls that He will pick them up several times. The focus however is this. That once you have been saved by inviting Jesus Christ into your heart, then the Holy Spirit will take up residence in you. When that happends, you will feel bad about the sin or sin's that we commit on a daily basis. The Holy Spirit's job is to convict the world of sin, so we will want to turn from it. The Holy Spirit also provides us with power and strength when we are weak to overcome temptation when it lurks. I know it can be difficult at times, but when we break through sin's power with the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit, you will truely be amazed at God's power working within you to overcome. I hope that this helps you out some sweetie, hope that you have a blessed day, and most importantly that you become a blessing to everyone that you meet! Take care....Mike |

4 | do not be drunk with strong wine | Bible general Archive 1 | Bible Answer Guy | 41370
Hi Christa, I think that the most important fact tht you can glean from this scripture is that our focus should not be on getting influenced by the effects of alcohol which is very empty. Rather the word tells us to be filled with the "Holy Spirit" which is far, far greater than any silly old alcohol could ever do for us. Let the joy of the Lord rule your soul and be a blessing to everyone you meet, that is where the real experience is. Remember that this Word that we read in the Bible is more powerful than a two edged sword. If we were to apply that to todays standard it might as well say that the Word is more powerful than anything that we could ever imagine. I hope that this helps you out some. God bless you sweetie, and keep your chin up!
