21 | meaning of numbers in the bible | NT general Archive 1 | casiv | 21246
Hello Kindest, With all due respects to my counterparts, numbers in the Bible are, in my opinion and Dr. E.W. Bullingers, very significant to the understanding of scripture. I am not talking about bible codes or other wild schemes, but rather biblical mathematics which prove the word true and upon understanding will enlighten the reader to deeper meanings within the text. I don't understand how anyone can say that anything in the word is not important. Remember satan was tempting Jesus and Jesus said that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. I believe this includes numbers. Bullinger has a book called "Numbers in Scripture" that would be very beneficial to your understanding. Some examples are as follows: One - Unity Two -Union, Division, Witnessing Three -Resurrection,Divine Completeness and Perfection Four - Creation---World Five - Grace or God's Goodness Six - Weakness of man, Evils of satan, Manifestation fo sin Seven - Completeness, Spiritual, Perfection Eight - New Birth, New creation, or new beginning Nine - Fruit of Spirit, Divine completeness from the lord Ten - Testimony, Law, Responsibilty Fifteen -Rest Twenty - Redemption Thirty - The Blood of Christ, Dedications Forty - Trials, Probation, and Testings Forty-Two - Israel's oppression--Lords Advent Forty-Five - Preservation Fifty - Holy Spirit Sixty-six - Idol Worship Seventy - Universality, Israel and Her Restoration One Hundred - Gods Election of Grace-- Children of Promise This is not a complete list. However go back to the scripture which brought this question to the forum and see if what is being numbered matches the meaning I have listed. Please do not let any man or woman hinder you from studying every single thing in the Bible, because I believe if it were not imortant it would not be there. Hope this helps. Peace, Casiv |

23 | how do you define faith? | Bible general Archive 1 | casiv | 21221
Hello Mensa and thanks for the question! Lets go to the Word. 1 Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 1 Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying,"Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, And under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 2 Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; Mensa knowledge and faith come by reading the Word. Peace in Faith and Hope, Casiv |

24 | is it a sin to gamble? | Bible general Archive 1 | casiv | 21218
Hello Wyatt, Please read the book of 1Timothy 6:9-10 1 Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Wyatt, it is my opinion that yes, gambling is a sin. However it is not unforgiveable. This does not say that you should gamble, because gambling can ruin many things in ones life. No matter what I say or any other you must choose for yourself. The common gift all people have been given from the Father is Freewill, to choose between right or wrong. Thanks for the question. Peace, Casiv |

25 | DIVORCE???????????????? | Mal 2:16 | casiv | 20773
Hi Ruth30, Did you know that God divorced Israel for adultery. Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. Divorce is very serious and all measures should be taken to not get divorced but sometimes enough is enough. If there are children involved it could affect them for a very long time and this should also be considered. I am from a broken home broken by adultery and it was better for my parents to separated than for me to experience them being miserable and fighting with each other. I can remember their fights and it has been 21 years and I know I will never forget. But as I became older I never understood how they could have been together in the first place. No one is going to hell for cheating but they will be chastised. Hope this helps. Peace |

28 | PLEASE I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING | Jeremiah | casiv | 20737
Hi TIO, The Father wants you to read the letter he wrote you, which is the Bible and if you ask with the sincerity of your heart He will help you to understand and heal you. Jer. 33:3 means ask and you shall receive. Start with Matt 13, the parable of the tares and the wheat. If you don't get it at first its ok, because neither did His disciples. I had to read the same chapter for over two years before I understood, so don't give up. The Father searches the heart. Matt 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeiing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. Matt 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esais, which saith,"By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: Matt 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." Understanding is available at all times if we ask with the sincerity of heart, but sometimes it doesn't happen overnight. Read the Bible and wash and heal yourself in the Fathers Love is what I believe Jer 33:3 ultimately means. Ask and ye shall receive. Peace, Casiv |

29 | Does Jeremiah 14 and 15 relate to U.S. | Jeremiah | casiv | 20735
Hello Ihavefavor, I was reading this thread, and it doesn't appear that your question was answered. Or was it? Please see Jer 14:14-18 and realize that yes you were answered, but they knew not. I believe everything and everyone is in the Bible. Yes, even the US. See Rev 12:9 where it says that satan deceives the whole world. Is the US a part of the "whole world"? I think so, but I'm sure we will get a debate on that. Please don't feel discouraged, there are some out here who read to understand with the sincerity of their hearts. Take names and remember, but please forgive because I think or hope they don't realize what they do. In the book of Jeremiah chapters 2:1 through 20:18 are prophecies addressed to the jews. Remember or have you read Amos 8:11? Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: Look around, isn't this happening? I think so. Do you have anything else you want to talk about? For the Love of the Father in Faith and Hope, Casiv |

30 | Who is Lucifer/ why was heson of morning | Isaiah | casiv | 20730
Dear Profit4hymn, Rev 22:16 "I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright and morning Star." Did you know that Jesus is also called a morning Star? And Jesus and satan sang together? Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy. Did satan make cain kill Abel? I think he influenced cain because: 1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. I believe satan would go to and fro from the earth to heaven as it says in Job. Job 2:2 And the Lord said unto satan,"From whence comest thou?" And satan answered the Lord, and said," From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it." But now I believe Jesus defeated the death which is the devil. Hebrews 2:14 For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Upon defeat, I believe the devil is locked up until an appointed time, but he will be back. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the deviland satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. This is why we all must read the Bible and put on the Gospel Armour of Ephesians 6:11-17 so that we can stand against the wiles of the devil which are explained in Ephesians 4:14. The Truth is your sword, which is the Word. The King of Babylon is a type of antichrist. I am not trying to scare you, just share with you regarding the things you have asked. Do not believe me or any man without reading and checking it out for yourself.(See Jeremiah 17:5) I hope this answers your questions. Peace in Faith and Hope, Casiv |

31 | how can we abide under the wings | Isaiah | casiv | 20729
Hi Scotty W, One would think you are referring to Psalm 91:4 which says: Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, And under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler In order to abide under the wings it seems you must understand His truth, which is His Word. Why you need a shield can be found in the Gospel Armour of Ephesians 6:11-6:17. You must have Gospel Armour on to stand against the wiles of the devil which are explained in Ephesians 4:14. In simple terms one must seek the Fathers will and righteousness which is done by reading the letter that He wrote you, which is the Bible and seek to understand the word with all sincerity of your heart.A good place to start is with the parable of the sower in Matt 13, because Jesus said if you don't understand this parable, you won't understand the rest. If you don't understand at first, it's ok,because neither did His disciples. May the Love of Jesus show you the way. Peace, Casiv. |

32 | Does God uses people to phophecy | Isaiah | casiv | 20726
Dear Towanda, Malachi was the last book of the Old Testament and the last prophet. There are no more prophets. If anyone says they are a prophet they are a fake. Malachi. In Hebrew means My messenger, relating to the five messengers in this book of Malachi. (1) Malachi himself(1:1); (2)the true Priest(2:7); (3)John the Baptist(3:1-); (4)the Messiah Himself(3:-1-3); (5)Elijah (4:5). This last prohecy introduces the great fulfillment of Jehovah's prophecy by Moses, the first prophet to Israel, in Deut. 18:15-19. Compare Acts 3:18-26 and Acts 7:37. I hope this helps you understand, there are no more prophets in the world today and if they say they are then they are a fake. Peace, Casiv. |

33 | Isai 41:2 referring to Christ or Cyrus? | Isaiah | casiv | 20724
Jaybird, After reviewing this thread the gentlemen before me must be corrected. In Isaiah 41:2 "the righteous man from the east": i.e. Abraham. Compare Cyrus raised up from the north in Isa. 41:25. Isa 41:25 "raised up from the north: i.e. Cyrus. Compare Abraham(the other type was "from the east" verse 2). This prohecy was made 137 years before its fulfillment. Compare Isa 44:28 and Isa 45:1 Structure as follows: Isaiah 41:1-29 Types (Division) Extended Alternation Isa 41:1-20 Abraham. From the East(vs. 2). Past Isa 41:20-29 Cyrus. From the North(vs.25). Future The man from the east is neither Christ or Cyrus but is Abraham. Peace. Casiv |

34 | MEANING OF 40CHAPTER V 11? | Isaiah | casiv | 20721
Dear bcollins, After reading this thread, I don't believe your question was ever answered. Here is the structure of what you have asked. Hope this helps. Peace. Isa 40:1-11 The voice from the wilderness, the gathering.(Introversion) verse 1,2 is Comfort for Jerusalem. Iniquity gone. verse 3-5 is The voice. Jehovah's work. Glorious. verse 6-8 is The voice. Jehovah's word. Eternal. verse 9-11 is Comfort for Zion. Adonai Jehovah come. This chapter commences a new Prophecy and follows that in Isa 34:1-35:10, after the historic episode of chs. 36-38. It will be seen that it forms an intrical part of the prophet Isaiah's book, as this member forms a perfect Correspondence with chapter 6 and cannot be wrenched from it without destroying the whole. |

36 | if we know somebody has a problem with | Matthew | casiv | 20545
Always try to work it out. But if it doesn't get resolved, don't grudge, give it to the Father. Matt 18:21 Then came Peter unto Him, and said, "Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?" Matt 18:22 Jesus saith unto him,"I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Goodluck. Peace. |

37 | How many guards? in Matthew 27:65 | Matthew | casiv | 20542
Jim, I will bear second witness to a quantity of 4 guards for the following: a watch equals a guard: the word being a transliteration of the Latin custodia, consisting of four soldiers(Acts 12:4) Greek word is Koustodia .(It only occurs here and in Matt 28:11) Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. quaternions in Greek is tetradion, a body of four. Only here. There were four sodiers to guard Peter for each of the four watches. The prisoner was chained to two and the other two kept watch. See Acts 12:6. Thanks for the great question. Peace |

38 | why Mt.8:28 talks about 2 men and Mk.5:2 | Matthew | casiv | 20541
Hi Ailam, The miracle of the two demoniacs in Matt 8:28 was not the same as that recorded in Mrk 5:1-20 and Luke 8:26-40. Here, there was two men; in the later miracle there was one; here, they landed opposite the place whence they set sail(Gergesenes); there, the Gadarenes(not Gadera) not opposite; here; no name is asked; there, the name is "Legion"; here, no bonds used, and the Twelve not yet called; there, the one man was used, and the Twelve had been called. The consequents also are different. Hope this helps. Thanks for a great question. Peace. |

Curran, Regarding parables that use alot of symbols in the gospels, how about the parable that is symbolized throughout the whole bible. The Wheat and the tares in Matt 13. The wheat are the good seed, like Adam's geneaology, Gen 5 and the tares, like Cain's genealogy, Gen 4. See Matt 13:36-43. Hope this helps. Peace. |
