461 | deceitful wife | Prov 6:16 | azurelaw | 232110
Dear cookjs, I don't know why you ask specifically about a deceitful WIFE. Hope you are not looking for a scripture to condemn anyone (but to pray for the soul) for no one is righteous before our Lord. We all are sinners. God hates lier whoever it is (a wife/a husband/any human beings). However, God so loved the world that He gave His son Jesus to die for our sins that we may be saved by believing on Him (John 3:16) and come to repentance. See the below verses telling us that God does not only hate deceitfulness, but also other kinds of sin... Prov 6:16 There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Prov 6:17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, Prov 6:18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, Prov 6:19 A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers. 462 | Tell me about the seven deadly sins | Prov 6:16 | azurelaw | 233972
Dear saintnic70, The Seven Deadly Sins, also known as the Capital Vices or Cardinal Sins. You may google search on the internet or wikipedia for detail explanation. However, in the Bible, there is no such thing as seven deadly sins. The most minor sin has wages. "For the wages of sin is death,..."(Rom 6:23a) However, the Bible has mentioned some sins are an abomination to God:- Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things which the LORD hates, seven which are an abomination to him:haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil,a false witness who breathes out lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers. Dear Yendor, I think you might be looking for Prov 16:4. In short, the verse is talking about God's sovereignty. However, please don't just read a verse or two to draw your conclusion and then make hasty application. Read the whole book of Proverb to know what the purpose it is for according to the background of the Israelite's history. 2 Tim 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. May you be blessed with your hardworking. Shalom Azure |

476 | Lucifer in heaven the Minister of Music? | Isaiah | azurelaw | 200802
Dear anniej, Welcome to the forum. This question has been asked many times on the forum. You may do a word search by "lucifer" at your right hand corner of the screen for more information. For your easy reference, I believe the below quote from an old post (#24006) of a forum participant "Makarios" helpful to your question. Shalom Azure ***** Greetings shy! Isaiah 14:12-15 is thought to be describing the fall of Satan (as well as Ezekiel 28:12-19), and Isaiah 14:11 states, "Your pomp and the music of your harps have been brought down to Sheol; maggots are spread out as your bed beneath you and worms are your covering." I believe that Isaiah 14:11 is the "source" for the belief that Satan was in charge of worship and music. However, that 'position' of Satan is not explicitly stated as such in Scripture, even though Ezekiel 28:12-19 describes Satan as the 'guardian cherub' to the Throne of God. Blessings to you, Nolan |

477 | Did the Father really forsake Jesus? | Isaiah | azurelaw | 203199
Dear aw1, Yes, Jesus was forsaken by the Father FOR OUR SIN. Isaiah 53 Is 53:10 But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. Is 53:11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Is 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. 478 | six reason why Lord abondon Judah | Isaiah | azurelaw | 224646
Dear trbeck4, Have you read the passage? The reasons are mentioned clearly in the verses. It would not be difficult to spot them out. This is my advice to you and Linda28:- 2 Tim 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. I always think that whoever joins a bible study class, he or she must be thirsty for God's word and eager to study and to know Him, thus will work hard by themselves in seeking the answer, reading the scriptures. I don't know what is the zeal in believers who rely on others to find the answer for them in their bible study wihout putting in their own effort. May God grant you the zeal in digging His treasure of His precious Words. Shalom Azure |
