608 | Was God angry with Moses or his son? | Ex 4:26 | azurelaw | 203321
Dear mot, See v26 for the answer. Moses did not follow the circumcision covenant (Gen 17:10-14). This could be due to his wife Zipporah was a Midianite (Ex 2:16) who would have just disregard the Israelite rules and norms. Shalom Azure |

Dear LJ777, Prov 8:13 "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate. Ps 22:23 You who fear the LORD, praise Him; All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel. Matt 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matt 7:8 "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Shalom Azure |

613 | Did the Father really forsake Jesus? | Isaiah | azurelaw | 203199
Dear aw1, Yes, Jesus was forsaken by the Father FOR OUR SIN. Isaiah 53 Is 53:10 But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. Is 53:11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Is 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. 614 | Did I commit adultery? | Titus | azurelaw | 203077
Hi again smallflower, One short note. In my previous post, I am not saying that too casually. I have an unbelieving husband (I am praying not only for his salvation, but also he will one day serve our Lord with me together). So you can imagine how I might have felt lonely in my spiritual walk. However, God blesses me with some very dear sisters in Christ, a tightly love-bonded cell group, and also some very dear brothers (both at church and on the internet) in Christ. May God bless you and the Holy Spirit guide you. Shalom Azure |

615 | Did I commit adultery? | Titus | azurelaw | 203076
Dear smallflower, I agree with Brother Doc. We have to be very careful on not letting Satan has his chance to tempt us. Based on what you have said, I would not consider that you had entered into an adulterous relationship (however only God knows your heart, you have to pray for enlightenment. "Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." - Hebrew 4:12) but you might be risking yourself with the possibility of temptation. I remember few years ago, in a sermon, the pastor reminded us never to do any counselling or mentoring alone with cross gender. Gal 6:1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Since you are asking this question, it is apparently an alarm from the Holy Spirit. Submit yourself to the Holy Spirit. It is always advisable to acquaint with the same gender in your spiritual walk. Find yourself a mature sister in Christ, if not, at least a cell group to engage in. Remember the Lord's prayer? "...lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil..." Shalom Azure |

616 | Why did the Lord do this to Pharaoh? | Ex 4:21 | azurelaw | 203016
Dear John, Welcome to the forum. Hope the below helpful to you. "Romans 9:17-18 declares, “For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: ‘I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.’ Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden.” From a human perspective, it seems wrong for God to harden a person and then punish the person He has hardened. Biblically speaking, however, we have all sinned against God (Romans 3:23), and the just penalty for that sin is death (Romans 6:23). Therefore, God hardening and punishing a person is not unjust, as it is actually merciful in comparison to what the person deserves." - Elmer Towns To read more, please go to: http://www.gotquestions.org/God-harden-Pharaoh-heart.html Shalom Azure |
