282 | third temple built before Jesus returns? | John 2:19 | Val | 191628
If you do a topical study on the anti-christ and all names given him you will find references to where he goes in and desecrates the temple. This is after the church has been raptured. It is called the tribulation period. He makes a false peace with Israel allowing them to rebuild the temple and then after 3 and 1/2 years he goes in and desecrates the temple which begins the last 3 1/2 years. This is called the 70 th week of Daniel. The scriptures you are looking for should be studied by studying the entire bible. The book of Daniel would be an excellent place to start. You can order a Precept study and study it for yourself before looking at commentaries. Excellent.
283 | what is born again? | John 3:5 | Val | 193329
Eph 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Eph 1:14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory. Born again is what happens to a person when they hear the gospel which is found in the New testament books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. When a person responds to the message of the gospel by putting their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ thereby seeking to have a personal relationship with Him; the Holy Spirt comes into that person to live permanently until that person dies a physical death and then goes to heaven. The Holy Spirit will help that person have victory over sin in their life and follow the Lord Jesus Christ through reading the Holy Bible and prayer to the Father. It is a wonderful life and I pray you will seek Him and be saved (born again) |

284 | Advise me please (Galatians 6:1) | John 3:16 | Val | 196505
If you feel that you are in danger go to a bible believing church and ask the pastor for counseling. Your situation is indeed very complex. The good news is that God meets us where we are. He promises to forgive us if we truly repent and believe in His death, burial and resurrection and follow Him in obedience. You must begin to pray and study the bible and heed what it says. There are consequences to sin and one must live with those but the Lord gives strength to bear up under whatever we have brought upon ourselves.
285 | living in sin(out of wedlock) ministry? | John 3:16 | Val | 196743
Take him at his word. If you are afraid it will hurt your image that would not be the reason to kick them out. Remember that you represent the church to them and if you kick them out they may never return to any church in the future. Consult the pastor of your church and let him decide. Usually what happens is if you confront them they will get mad and never come back to your class. They will talk about you. Others will take sides. Those who side with them will leave also. It could even destroy your present class. Ministry is hard, is it not? Watching others continue in sin does grieve us but we must wait for God to work in their lives and bring them to repentance. John 3:16
286 | Jesus was a very good man | John 3:16 | Val | 199948
First, I would establish a relationship with that person if I see them everyday, or week and find out their particular background such as did they go to church growing up, were their parents christians, did they have a bad church experience. Have they ever read the bible. Do they know any people who are christians. When you know their background pray for them fervently for a period of time to know the words to say to them. The Lord will give you wisdom if you ask in faith, (read the book of James). Ask Him to open up an opportunity for you to share Christ with them. It is vital that you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading. You may be the one or you may not be the one who He wants to speak to this person. Ask Him to prepare that person's heart to receive the gospel. You can always plant a seed by sharing your testimony with them. We called to share the gospel and leave the results to God. Do not be discouraged if they do not receive your words. Most don't but every once in a while some do and it is a wonderful experience to know that you had a part in that. Blessings, Val
287 | Living together | John 3:16 | Val | 211404
Pray about it first. If you participate in the dinner this wil give a physical appearance of approval. If you tell them how much you love them and how much you want to participate but are afraid it will affect your christian witness then they should understand. Be prepared with scripture and do a thorough study on the topic. Try not to shut down communication as you may be the only gospel they read. Blessings, Val

Dear Ema, I am so sorry for your circumstances. Within christendom there is an on going debate on this topic. Please know that we cannot offer advice as we are not equipped to provide you that type involvement. I pray that God grants you another avenue to help and support you. 290 | Lost- backsliding; can't have kids | John 3:16 | Val | 219735
You will find peace when you accept your station in life. Develop a thankful heart. Make the most of the life you have been given. Seek the Lord for forgiveness of sins, wisdom and healing for your broken heart. Saturate yourself in his word daily. Think on things that are pure. Believe in Christ and His finished work on the cross. Remember that this is not a perfect world. Everyone who is a believer in Jesus has a cross to bear. When we go to be with the lord He will wipe away every tear. There are people worse off than you. Some have lost children. Some have rebellious children. Accept the life you have been given. Be thankful for life. Look around you for things to be thankful for and count your blessings. Determine to serve the Lord.
291 | Soul is Born, Inserted into the Body? | John 3:16 | Val | 219737
There are some things the Lord has not specifically told us. There are some things He has told us such as that He is the one who is the Creator of all the things in the earth, heavens, and seas. Anytime we usurp His role as Creator we are treading on dangerous ground. Be very careful in how you deal with God's creation. You will be held accountable by Him.
292 | Inherited Sin Nature | John 3:16 | Val | 219779
There is the word OR between innocent and righteous. The topic you chose to discuss is very difficult in that it is not addressed in the bible. The only place I can think of is when Davids baby died and David said something to the effect that someday I will go to see him. There are times in our life that we lose friends and family that we are not 100 percent sure where they will spend eternity. A loving pastor comforted me with these words. You can know that your loved one is in the hands of a righteous and just God. Trust Him God the father and His Son our Lord Jesus Christ. May you find His peace.

296 | Hebrews 6:4-6 | John 6:1 | Val | 199951
Have you heard about Christ Jesus? Have you enjoyed fellowship with the saints? If you have, then you have heard the good news? The choice now is what are you going to do. Read the gospel of John. Also in this chapter some disciples walked away. Will you? John 6:66 As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. John 6:67 So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?" John 6:68 Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. John 6:69 "We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God." |

297 | Question between John 6:44 vs John 12:32 | John 6:44 | Val | 212518
Dear Charlie, there is a multitude of commentaries at Preceptaustin.org. You can search the commentaries by verse. Just enter the verse in question, scroll down and you will see what the classical commentors said as well as modern day scholars. Because the book of Romans explains that all creation has an innate knowledge of God, man is without excuse. Also God has put within his creation, the world we live, the knowledge that He is the one who created everything on earth, in the heavens and underneath the heavens. One of the things that the Holy Spirit does is convict the world of sin. World meaning each of us individually. What we read in Romans that man, people individually, ignore this conviction or they recognize it is from God and seek Him. Romans specifically says that anyone who ignores this conviction is without hope. This is what makes one's heart hard and hard to reach. This is why we are to live for God when we are young because the older we get the harder our hearts, our conscience becomes to sin and eventually our conscience becomes seared, in other word we have no conscience for the wrongs we do, the wrongs being those things that God has said is immoral, stealing, adultery, etc. This type of person does not care for God or the things of God. Even the person who does seek God and listens to God's convicting Holy Spirit, if he does not read and study the bible, obeying the Lords commands and instructions written there, he will not be following the light the bible sheds. This is much the problem of our modern day church today. People rely on a twenty minute sermon once a week to be their guide. Often the speaker with take one verse and build a commentary around it rather than reading the word of God itsself as the prophets did to Israel. Also in the synagogues they read the scriptures. Christ draws us to himself through his death, burial and resurrection. All of us who have heard his story and those who have not see it in creation and their innate knowledge that God gave them. All people are drawn. All people are given plenty of chances to surrender to God. When people die without having surrendered to God, they have no one to blame but themselves. They didn't listen to God speaking to them through creation, through their consciences, through the spoken word, through the experiences of life such as death of a loved one. There is hope for anyone who will surrender to Jesus who came to rescue us from our sins and give us a heavenly home with Him. If you are worried about someone in particular that they are not drawn, you can pray for them and tell them the gospel story of how much God loves and wants to have a relationship with them. When I saw Jesus there on the cross and how much He suffered for me, that he could have called ten thousand angels to rescue Him but instead endured the death on the cross, it was at that moment that I saw why he died, because of my sins. I saw how much He loved me; enough to die for me. There was no sin in Him; I saw my sin next to Him and it broke my heart. I said God if you are really out there, I want you to be my Savior, I want to follow you. I bring myself and all my sins to you. I am not ashamed of Him anymore. I was raised in a christian home but was always ashamed because of how we were made fun of, church-goers. I am not ashamed anymore. I will tell anyone, anywhere, anytime about what Christ has done for me. Happy New Year, Val |

298 | once saved always saved? | John 10:28 | Val | 208698
7 Reasons Why A Saved Person Can't Be Lost by: Adrian Rogers ------------------------------- 1. Nothing can separate you from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus your Lord. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39) Neither death nor anything that happens after death, or anything that happens while you're living can separate you from God's love. If there were no other verse in the Bible that deals with eternal security, this one covers the base. 2. When you are saved, you are made perfect forever. For by one offering He [Jesus] hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. (Hebrews 10:14) When Jesus died on the cross, He saved you forever. Jesus offered one sacrifice for sin forever. If you ever lost your salvation, in order for you to be saved again, Jesus would have to die again. By one offering He has perfected forever those who were sanctified. 3. Our Lord always finishes what He begins. Being confident of this very thing, that He [God] which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6) Let me tell you what the Holy Spirit of God does for your salvation. First, He convicted you of sin. Second, He converted you. And the Convictor and the Converter is also the Completer. If God fails to finish what He's begun God has failed and He cannot fail. 4. You are predestined to be like Jesus. For whom He [God] did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29) God saw you before this world was put in space. He saw you repent of your sin and ask Jesus to save you. And when God saw that, not only did He foreknow it, but also He predestinated it. If it is settled in eternity how can it be undone in time? 5. You are in Christ. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17) You are in Christ just like Noah was in the ark. The ark was a picture of Jesus and when Noah went into that ark God shut the door. Noah may have fallen down a lot of times in that ark, but he never fell out of it. Your security is not in a place, it is in a Person and His name is Jesus. And if you're in Jesus, you're secure and if you're not in Jesus you're not secure. 6. You already have eternal life. Heareth My word, and believeth on him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24) Everlasting life is not something you get when you die. Everlasting life is something you get when you receive Jesus. If I have everlasting life, when can it end? Suppose I had it 10 years and it ended. Did I have everlasting life? No, I had a 10-year life. Whatever you have, if you ever lose it, whatever it was it wasn't everlasting. 7. The Lord Jesus Christ is ever interceding for you. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given Me; for they are Thine. (John 17:9) Jesus also prayed: "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil...Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word" (John 17:15, 20). Say your name in that verse because Jesus prayed for you! Has Jesus ever prayed a prayer that wasn't answered? No, not one (see John 11:42 and Hebrews 7:25). Some people say, "Well, if I believed in this doctrine, then I'd get saved and I'd sin all I want to." Friend, I sin all I want to. I sin more than I want to. I don't want to! When you get saved you get your wanter fixed. As a matter of fact, you get a brand new wanter. • Love Worth Finding (Tuesday, March 26, 2002) |

300 | John the beloved. | John 13:23 | Val | 222820
We are not told why John spoke of himself that way. One can only imagine however. When we think of the price that Christ paid, He gave His own life so that we can be saved we all can say we are the child that Jesus loved. Really seeing clearly the cross and what Christ did for us to cleanse us of our sins is humbling. It is not that Jesus loved John more that the others. Perhaps it is John's way of showing his gratitude for what Christ has done for him. John was in Christ's inner circle so they must have been particurally close. John 13:23. Do a lookup on the word love in the New Testament. This is how I found the verse. You learn so much when you do word studies.
