741 | Didn't ALL things come from God, evil to | 1 John 1:5 | JCrichton | 136703
Hi, Mark! I agree with you... prophetic writings are mostly set in dualities (direct effect of the temporal here and now and reflection of the yet to come futuristic event)... My concern is with your statement: "These verses tell us it is God Who raises up the antichrist," ...somehow you've come to the conclusion that it is God who raises the anti-Christ! While Scripture speaks of the anti-Christ and of many anti-Christs... there is no text that places God as the Creator of evil (the anti-Christ, Satan, the Ancient Serpent, the Dragon, the Beast...); only through liberal interpretation of Scripture, the language, to be exact, can anyone conclude that God is the Creator of the anti-Christ! The anti-Christ created himself!: Ezekiel 28:12-17; Isaiah 14;11-20; Revelation 12:3-4; 7-9; 13-17; Satan, Lucifer, the Dragon, the Serpent, Apollyon (the Destroyer), the anti-Christ, was not created evil... it was by choice--the rejection of God's Authority--that the anti-God came into being... just as it is by choice that we embrace sin and sin's reward (death), instead of obeying God's Will (John 3:17-21). 742 | Didn't ALL things come from God, evil to | 1 John 1:5 | JCrichton | 136706
Hi, Bimer! Here's why your conclusion is wrong: God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31) Genesis 1:31 clearly states that Creation was reviewed by God and that all that was created was good! There's no room for "ifs" and second guessing! God Created all that there is and He created it "GOOD!" Atomic power as well as other forms of energies and technologies are good... but, if twisted about to a negative and destructive end, atomic power is completely evil! The spiritual being known to us as Satan was not created evil! Satan chose to rebel against his Creator; he thought of himself beyond a creature and thought that he too could be a god--one that would dispose of the original Creator! It was he who introduced death onto Creation; it was he who twisted the mind of one third of the angels and attempted agains the Divine Throne! It is he who continually attempts against God's chosen (elect) in order to derail God's Plan (Genesis 3:15; Revelation 12). Our lives are hidden in God, the Lord, the Giver of Life: (Ezekiel 33:11)! 743 | Grace? | 1 John 1:7 | JCrichton | 132656
Hi, LIVERIGHT! Some would argue that once born again (saved) you will meet with Jesus no matter what! Personally? I have not found any Scripture that tells us that... quite the opposite, we are warned by Jesus not to do as we please because the day and hour when we will face Him is not known to us! We are warned by Scripture that the wages for sin is death: For the wage paid by sin is death; the gift freely given by is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) This Scriptural passage, as well as any other promising Life, is clear: we are to die due to sin; we are to receive life in Christ Jesus... but receiving life in Jesus does not mean that we can chant a clause in Scripture that will secure that Life! As the old saying goes, "talk the talk, walk the walk!" We are not to hold on to the ways of the world and cite Scripture to justify our rebelliousness: Something which has existed since the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have watched and touched with our own hands, the Word of life-- this is our theme. That life was made visible; we saw it and are giving our testimony, declaring to you the eternal life, which was present to the Father and has been revealed to us. We are declaring to you what we have seen and heard, so that you too may share our life. Our life is shared with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. We are writing this to you so that our joy may be complete. This is what we have heard from him and are declaring to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. If we say that we share in God's life while we are living in darkness, we are lying, because we are not living the truth. But if we live in light, as he is in light, we have a share in another's life, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we say, 'We have no sin,' we are deceiving ourselves, and truth has no place in us; if we acknowledge our sins, he is trustworthy and upright, so that he will forgive our sins and will cleanse us from all evil. If we say, 'We have never sinned,' we make him a liar, and his word has no place in us. (1 John 1:1-10) Salvation (Grace), is not a matter of citing the Bible... Satan cited Scriture to Jesus... yet he rejected God's Authority! Jesus warns that it is not those who claim to know Him that will be saved but those who humbly obey! (Matthew 7:21-27; Luke 6:46) James puts it in a different but congruent view: But you must do what the Word tells you and not just listen to it and deceive yourselves. (James 1:22) By Grace we are given the Gift of Life... alas, not all believe and humbly obey! (John 3:19) We can claim to be saved till Jesus' Return... But Jesus did not call us to repent and continue a life of sin... He called us to acknowledge our sin, to turn back to God and to abide in Him! If we die in a state of sin, it is the Holy Spirit who will convict us of our Salvation or damnation--surely, we will be called to reject sin and not to choose to, stubbornly, embrace our rebellious acts! God Bless! Angel |

744 | Need to confess sins after being saved. | 1 John 1:9 | JCrichton | 107460
windjammer, hi! It is an interesting position! I met a young man that invited me to his services (the place where he worshiped); for some unknown reason he genuinely wanted me to join. After the service we had a lengthy interchange where a third person joined in. Their theme is (or was, we did not keep in touch) that once saved we cannot lose salvation because we’re above the law (similar to your friend’s position). I vividly recall that the second gentleman slurred almost every word; since there was no alcohol odor emanating from his immediate area, I believed that he was under the influence of drugs. I tested their conviction by presenting just such a scenario (drugs, alcohol, gambling; lying; cheating; fornication…). My host was not so quick to answer but his friend attempted to use Romans 7:6 and Galatians 5:18 as catch-all and exonerate-all clauses to allow those who are “saved” to behave as they please! (Apparently they never read 1 Corinthians 6:12-13--Paul is nor referring only to sexual conduct but to everything that separates us from the Lord!) I believe that your friend is misinterpreting the Scripture: If we say, ‘We have no sin,’ we are deceiving ourselves, and truth has no place in us; if we acknowledge our sins, he is trustworthy and upright, so that he will forgive our sins and will cleanse us from all evil. If we say, ‘We have never sinned,’ we make him a liar, and his word has no place in us. My children, I am writing this to prevent you from sinning; but if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the upright. He is the sacrifice to expiate our sins, and not only ours, but also those of the whole world. (1 John 1:8 - 2:2) So confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another to be cured; the heartfelt prayer of someone upright works very powerfully. (James 5:16) In these two passages (1 John 1:8 - 2:2; James 5:16), both John and James are speaking not to the unbelievers or converts, but to the seasoned believers and they distinctly demonstrate our need to confess our sins--there’s no other interpretation (or spin) that can be applied to such explicit teachings. John and James are echoing our Lords words to Simon: So I now say to you: You are Peter and on this rock I will build my community. And the gates of the underworld can never overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.’ (Matthew 16:18-19) Why would Jesus talk about something that is irrelevant? Why would God?. Ezekiel 18 is an excellent source of God’s views on sin, especially verses 24, and 30-32 : ‘But if the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong by copying all the loathsome practices of the wicked, is he to live? All his upright actions will be forgotten from then on; for the infidelity of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, he will most certainly die.’ ‘So in the future, House of Israel, I shall judge each of you by what that person does--declares the Lord Yahweh. Repent, renounce all your crimes, avoid all occasions for guilt. Shake off all the crimes you have committed, and make yourselves anew heart and a new spirit! Why die, House of Israel? I take no pleasure in the death of anyone--declares the Lord Yahweh--so repent and live!’ We may decide to take liberties with one or a few Biblical verses (the JW are experts at this!), but when judged against the totality of the Bible does our interpretations measure up? This was happening way back when--Paul had to admonish the Corinthians because they were allowing a strange fellowship to be intertwined with the Truth: But I am afraid that, just as the snake with his cunning seduced Eve, your minds may be led astray from single-minded devotion to Christ. Because any chance comer has only to preach a Jesus other than the one we preached, or you have only to receive a spirit different from the one you received, or a gospel different from the one you accepted--and you put up with that only too willingly. (1 Corinthians 11:3-4) Some of the times misinterpretation comes from not listening to the complete teachings of the Bible passages. James 5:15 is one of those verses: The prayer of faith will save the sick person and the Lord will raise him up again; and if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. Thinking that this verse applies to all Christians could derail us from the Truth: prayer does not replace confession! James 5:15 is intended not for all believers, but for those that are sick--if they are meant to die, the prayer of faith can cleanse them! God Bless! |

745 | Are we still in the fallen state? | 1 John 1:9 | JCrichton | 134078
Hi, Allegro! I know that many people subscribe to "don't ask, don't tell" everything's done in Jesus... Jesus did die for all sin once and for all--it is He that needs not face sin and the consequences of sin ever again... we on the other hand are not God! Our world is the realm of Satan and he will fight till the bitter end the disrupt God's Plan of Salvation! John tells us that if we are of the Light there is no darkness (sin) in us... yet he also tells us that if we claim to be free of sin we are liars! It is Jesus who can cleanse us if we confess our sins! If we simply tell the "store-keep" to keep an open tab cause we have unlimited credit... we would simply be acting as the foolish servant who keeps thinking that his Master will not come back or that he can clause his way out of it if he is ever questioned about his rampant rebelliousness and misuse of authority! 746 | WHO pays the wage? | 1 John 1:9 | JCrichton | 134286
Hi, Mommapbs! The wage of sin has been paid in Jesus, yet Jesus Himself warns that not all who call Him Lord will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 6:46); clearly, Jesus is warning that an empty word (saved, Lord, born-again...) is just that an empty word... He will look into the heart and discover the truth about every person who claims His Name! Those who reject Him by refusing to obey His Will will be cast out! When he announces that He is the Resurrection, He does not say that He is the Ransom for all but for many (Matthew 20:16, 28; 22:14; 26:28); not that His power was limited by any specific amount of humans being saved, but because not all would accept Him at His terms! (John 3:19-21) In Revelation 2:18-29 Jesus is not speaking to a mob of unbelievers or a gathering of atheists or people who were ignorant of the Gospels. He has given us time to repent from our old nature and to abide in Him... if we reject His Command and we lie with sin we make sin our master and we reject Jesus as our Master--we cannot serve two masters! To say that we have no sin makes God a liar--He has stated that none are righteous... but if we come to Jesus (no not go to a congregation and be baptised and claim to be born/saved, but abide in Jesus) He is Just and Loving and will receive our repentant heart and our humble obedience--even if we failed him 70 times 7 (just a matter of numbers--not that there is a limit to God's forgiveness of our trespasses!). Confessing our sins does not mean getting up on a stage and replay how awful we were before we met the Lord and how we ar now born again and partakers of salvation--living in a state of grace where no matter what we do we have a get-to-Heaven-free membership! Those who preach that sin is OK, that there is no need to confess our sins and to ask God for forginess are just as confused as the Pharisees and Sadducees that were guardians of the written and oral Law, yet they did not apply the text to themselves but to others... rejecting Christ, the Creator of all that exists on the grounds that He made Himself to be God! They rejected Him because He preached Love and broke the Sabbath in order to bring into the Kingdom of God the lost sheep! Just as a comparison: There were two criminals crucified alongside of Jesus... one rejected and mocked Him, the other opened His heart and spirit to the One True God and He repented and asked for Mercy--Jesus acted according to their obedience (one) and rejection (the other)! These two people were fully aware of Christ... perhaps they did not have the overall picture that the disciples and we have, but they were knowledgeable enough to make a judgment: one foolishly mocked and rejected Christ (no primise); the other humbly accepted his own faults and failures and asked for forgiveness (no he did not went into a repertoire of all his past deeds--Jesus looked into his heart and spirit), Jesus opened His Heart and cleansed him (he received the promise)! Again, in 1 John 1:9, John is not speaking to the unbelievers nor to atheists... he is speaking to other Christians and he is warning that those who claim to be above others (no sin) are only fooling themselves and that because we are in Jesus, He will forgive us, if we repent!--noticed that he did not say "when we confessed nor he forgave us..." Rather, John uses a clause "if" which demonstrates a cause-effect situation... "if we confess...forgive..." Convesely, the opposite must also be true: "if we do not confess...no forgiveness..." 747 | What is God's love | 1 John 2:5 | JCrichton | 141008
Hi, whippie! Here's what Christ says about love: The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them. (John 15:13) Humanity's brand of love is basically summed in the following expression: Tit for tat! Outside of Christ our ego previals over our best intentions... society trains us as children (through stories, movies, songs, TV programs) that love, as beauty, is measured by material wealth (the more someone possesses the greater he/she is deemed to be the object of love) or power (through acts of love--be they real or disingenuous--we can control others)... Here's what Paul tells us about God's Love: Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fails. Love is eternal... (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) There are many of us who subscribe to some of the principles found in the above Scriptural passage... there are some of us who forget that we are to love because God is Love and we are commanded to be like He is (Matthew 5:48; Luke 6:40), so we tend to love conditionally (only if like backgrounds, affiliations, ethnicity...) or subjectively (what can be gained/received from the object of the affection)... 748 | How do we know that we are truly saved? | 1 John 3:24 | JCrichton | 141261
Hi! Part of our problem is finding a specific clause that guarantees Salvation... there's none! We know that we are saved if we abide in Him! (John 15:1-6) We know that we are saved if we believe in Him! (John 11:25-26) We know that we are saved if we are born again of the Holy Spirit! (John 3:3) We know that we are saved if we are baptized in Him! (Matthew 21:28-32 and Luke 7:24-30) We know that we are saved if we believe Him! (John 3:17-21 and John 14:1) We know that we are saved if we depend on Him totally! (2 Corinthians 12:9; 13:4) Jesus did not come to offer us a simple "your in kid!" He came to bring us to the Father... to teach us that we are to emulate Him: Love, Obedience, Service! (John 14:21, 31; 15:10-14; and Matthew 25:31-46) We know that we are saved if we stand till the end! (Revelation 2:7, 10-11) God Bless! Angel |

749 | How does one "test spirits"? | 1 John 4:1 | JCrichton | 129730
Hi, God's student! I remember one time meeting this lady from a local congregation that taught something to that afinity... she pronounced that one particular person had a demon in him... this went on for a few weeks... then, one day she was in desperate need of assistance! Take a gander? ...this same person whom she had attested that he had a demon reflecting on his face was the one person that relieved her--his previous sin? He did not go to her place of worship! Granted, the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to measure others, but this according to God's Word... when we use our human intellect and prejudice to determine who is in God and who is not we fall prey to our own fallacies and we err not on the side of Christ but on the side of humanity! Besides 1 John 4:1-3 here's another gauge to test the spirits: You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. Life by the Spirit So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:13-26) When we rely on the Word of God to test the spirits (including ourselves) the Truth is plainly manifested! 750 | who is the angel of the lord? | 1 John 4:2 | JCrichton | 157144
Hi, Superlotto! There are several Biblical passages in the Old Testament that speak directly on the angel/Angel of the Lord: The Angel of the Lord as Yahweh: Genesis 16:7-14 and 22:11-18; consider also Judges 2:1-5; 6:11-18; 13:3-22; Another Person of God: Zechariah 1:11-21; 3:1-10; 12:8; Jesus: Malachi 2:7; The Holy Spirit (in a round about way): Acts 8:21-29. 751 | Is there such a thing as a false Christ? | 1 John 4:3 | JCrichton | 133804
Hi, Ray! There are many false Christs in the world... Every person/congregation that denies that Jesus is the Word incarnate: true God and true Man, preaches and believes a false Christ and as Scripture testifies the person/congregation is one spirit with that false Christ; in essence the entity becomes one with what is preached and believed! (1 Corinthian 6:16-17) A false Christ is an anti-Christ... anyone who rejects Christ's Gospel is preaching/believing in a false Christ (Galatians 1:6-12); even when they insist on calling themselves Christians! (Matthew 24:23-26) God Bless! Angel |

752 | can satin hear my thoughts | 1 John 4:4 | JCrichton | 120143
Hi! You will not find a specific passage in the Bible that will use your words exactly (verbatim). There are passages that reveal the Truth in words or teachings that could be understood to have the same meaning of what you are inferring: Children, you are from God and have overcome them, because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) This is the most excellent passage when concerning what the devil or Satan can do or not do: Only God is in us (Christians) the devil can only scheme, trip, and lie... he has not the power to bend our will nor to know our thoughts. But he is an ancient Serpent, one that is astute and quite able... he would twist around even God's own words in order to confuse us; Judas learned, too late, about the truth of Jesus' Christ's incarnation because God allowed Satan to control him. Had Satan the power to know and control our thoughts there would have been more disciples that would have betrayed Jesus--all out of fear for their lives. Matthew 8:28-32 talks about devils fearing Jesus and asking to be left alone--not knowing the outcome they asked to be allowed to possess some swines that were near by; they perished! 1 Corinthians 2:8-16, tells us that only by the power of the Holy Spirit are we made aware of spiritual matters--Satan refused to obey God, hence all privileges with the Holy Spirit were revoked. Though God is Omnipotent and can do whatever He pleases, God chooses not to force us into submission; instead, He allows us the freedom to choose to serve Him. Satan, though he is not all knowing and all powerful, uses tricks and lies to convince us to follow his ways--a path that is ample and seemingly luxurious, but that inevitably leads to death and destruction. God Bless! Angel (Please forgive me for not using your screen name... it suggests a drug fix...) |

753 | How do we know for sure Jesus is God? | 1 John 5:6 | JCrichton | 148940
Hi, pgs! Read John 1:1-18 (John the Evangelist, Jesus' disciple) was granted an understanding of Logos, the Word, that no other had before him... John spoke about Jesus Christ existing along side of God and being God... Comapare this to Paul's revelation in Hebrews 1:1-14... here, it is Yahweh Himself who tells us that the Son, Jesus Christ, is God! Now combine these with all of the Old Testament statments made by Yahweh, through His prophets, and we find that there is only One God (Isaiah 43:10-13)... God is Eternal, He never changes, so He existed as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for ever unto eternity! (We know that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of God because Scripture tells us so: Acts 5:3-4; 4:25-26--Ref: Psalm 2:1-2; Acts 3:7-11--Ref: Psalm 95:6-11; Hebrew 10:15-16) John in his 1st Epistle reveals to us the relationship between Christ, God, and the Believers: 1Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 6This is the one who came by water and blood–Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7For there are three that testify: 8the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:1-13) See how intertwined the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are? (Check also 1 Corinthians 12:3; Hebrews 9:14 and 2 Peter 1:21) There are some who reject the Holy Scripture or attempt to twist God's Word, by insinuating everything from vocabulary definition; translations; to outright distortion of God's Word... there is no escaping it: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He is God! God Bless! Angel |

754 | I need an explanation of 1 John 5:10 | 1 John 5:10 | JCrichton | 149152
Hi, Ruth101! Jesus is God's Son... He came onto the world so that we may live... if we believe in Jesus, He grants us the Holy Spirit--who in turn brings us to the full understanding of God since the Holy Spirit searches everything, even the deepest places of God... to deny the Son, Jesus, is to call God a liar because God has stated that Jesus is His Son and that in Him He is pleased! The Sadducees and Pharisees were right on the money when they wanted to kill Him and replied to His statement that He made Himself equal to God! Yet, Yahweh's testimony, through the prophets, is that Joshua, Christos (the Anointed) would come to His people as the Emmanuel (the God-with-us) would be with them! When we deny Christ as the Son of God we deny God's Word: we are calling God a liar! So we believe that Jesus and the Father are One or we deny both the Father and the Son! God Bless! Angel |

755 | Everyone who loves is of God?? | 1 John 5:12 | JCrichton | 133730
Hi, Liberty Belle! I understand your situation... I've met people who want to use Scripture the way we do commerce: take what we want discard what we dislike... Try to explain to her that God is Love and that those who Know God have to Live in God's Love... God's Love is Jesus! (John 3:16) And try to explain to her that doing "good" is not proof enough that we are in God's Love (1 John 2:1-11)... it is not enough to do "good" to those who are our friends, relatives, coworkers... we must fellowship with Christ (be His disciples) and He calls us to love even our enemies (Matthew 5:43-48) and to live in Him (John 15:5-14)! 757 | Does Islam fit here? | 2 John 1:7 | JCrichton | 129062
Hi, Mommapbs! I suggest this Scripture: Revelation 13:2-17 The Beast out of the Sea …The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?" The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. He who has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints. The Beast out of the Earth Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. Historically, we know that Islam was forged through violence: those who did not submit were beheaded on site! Throughout the world they have systematically eradicated or occupied most Christian establishments... which includes the Holy Land! They expressly flaunt their brand of supremacy by demanding that any Christian symbols be removed from public sites... this includes in the United States! They speak or the coming era where all infidels will be forced to submit to their god or be decapitated on the spot! The are the only religious group that is actively persecuting Christians worldwide seeking forceful conversions, implementing torture and death for those who would not submit! Recap: Islam claims God's Throne (theirs is the true god), it persecutes and kill Christians for the sake of subjecting them to its god--direct assault on Christ, it eradicates or usurp places of Christian worship and actively seeks to remove from public site any reference to Christ (Cross, Nativity...)--indirect assault on Christ; it professes that its god requires that infidels (their term for both nonbelievers of their religion and for Christians) be converted even if by force or be exterminated from the face of the earth... What is the function of the anti-Christ? (Revelation 13:5-7, 14-17) God Bless! Angel |

758 | What is the apostacy? | Jude 1:8 | JCrichton | 121489
Hi, Rowdy! We are living the era--it started waaaay back! Jude 1:8-19 describe some of their functions among the people of God. Today we are witnessed to them in the various cultures of anti-Christ that sorrounds us in the US and the world at large. Have you heard about the nonchalant acceptance of homosexuality among some "Christians"? The mass murdering and marketing of God's babies? The proliferation of sanctions against anything that represents God (exceeding both in the US and Canada)? World wide creation of statues and laws to prohibit Christians from preaching the Word? Christians being tortured and killed because they refuse to forsake Christ's Name? US public education and the entertainment industry (including graphic arts)... how God has been systematically removed from sight or defiled in any form or shape that has been introduced and supported by all (yes, including "Christians")? Reread 2 Peter 2! God Bless! Angel |

759 | Please Help | Revelation | JCrichton | 149081
Hi, Live4God! There are several themes going all at once in the book of Revelation... first of all it is prophetical, filled with symbolism and various time lines... Do not try to read all of it at once... and do not buy into the myriads of interpretations that exist out there... Revelation is a window into what will happen during the final stages of a spiritual war that began (as a prophecy) in Genesis 3:15... Read Genesis 3:15 and Revelation 12, then read through the rest of Revelation... if you do not have a Bible with a built-in concordance, please avail yourself of one or of a concordance dictionary... it is important not to read too much into anything as a single unit... if you take one chapter/passage at a time and related to other Scriptural passages you would be able to understand it better! Don't forget to always start your Bible Study by praying to our Lord asking for the Holy Spirit's guidance! Please feel free to post specific questions on the book of Revelation and/or other Biblical books. God Bless! Angel |

Hi, Kalos! "Its date is generally estimated as A.D. 95, but there are some who believe that parts, at least, were composed as early as Nero's time, shortly before A.D. 70." (The Jerusalem Bible--French Edition, 1975) God Bless! Angel |
