The Apostles Creed which is a condensation of the Biblical truths tell us Jesus descended into Hell or Hades. 324 | Time from crucifixion to Saul conversion | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 238970
Generally most researcher place Jesus crucifixion around 30-32 AD and Paul's conversion around 34AD with his first visit to Jerusalem Apostles around 37 AD. So there could have been at least 2 years between the two events and as many as 4-7 years depending on whose accounting of time you accept. Scripture does not come out and give an exact times so the times must be calculated on what information can be gleaned from all accounts of what took place. |

325 | How many years from David to Joesph? | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239111
King David was King in approx. 1010 BC and reigned for 40 years. Jesus was born between 4BC and 1 AD. And it is thought Joseph was about 30 at the time. So it would be approx 940 to 976 years between David and Joseph depending on when you start with David and assuming Joseph was 30 when Jesus was born.

329 | What does God say about sharing good for | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239337
Not real sure what exactly you are asking. We are to care for widows and Orphans. Scripture says if we have two coats and our brother has need of one we should give it to him. And to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. However scripture also says there will always be poor among us. And if a person refuses to work they can go hungry. |

330 | Trials | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239342
James 1:2-4 (NKJV) 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Hebrews 12:11 (NKJV) 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Romans 5:3 (NKJV) 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; |

331 | Trials | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239352
Let me say too many people try to build their faith in times they need it most. However if you look at David before Goliath. David stood on the faith he had already built. He had seen God deliver him from the wild animals that would come against his flock. Therefore when David's faith was tried the most, facing almost certain death, David was able to draw upon that faith and moved forward. The time to try to find faith is not when the doctor comes in and says, "I'm sorry but ..." At those times we need our faith to have been built through relationship with God so much so that we are able to stand on it. |

337 | Holman Study Bible? | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 239475
I have the Bible and ... Well let us just say I can't say it is my favorite. I have been given the definite impression Lifeway and SBC decided to do it after the betrayal of publishers of the NIV. I believe their thinking was do it themselves and they would be able to control it themselves. Most every denomination was forced to spend a ton of money shifting Sunday School material over from NIV when it became modernized. NASB is an excellent Bible but I find it nearly impossible to quote from it reading aloud, the sentence structure simply tongue ties me. Therefore I use the NASB for personal study and other versions to preach from. Although the updated version is much better I still don't feel comfortable reading aloud from it. NLT is probably the best especially for people that have English as a second language. I find if I use the KJV I simply must spend to much precious time explaining the meaning of archaic words. |

340 | Do Angels have Genders? Male and Female? | Bible general Archive 2 | EdB | 94372
BKB2002 That question is not specifically answered in the Bible. However the angels we do meet all have male names and we know angels do not marry. I believe there is one place in the Bible where an angel was referred to in the femine but I can't recall the exact verse. However even in that verse I think it can be seen as a figure of speech rather than finite proof of female angels. |
