364 | 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 Repeted Adultry? | Matt 18:22 | EdB | 238376
Based on Matthew 18:22 the answer would be yes. However no being able to see inside this man I have to ask myself is he really repentant or is he playing his fire card. In other words is this man really serving the Lord or is he serving the flesh and tried to get out of trouble by saying he is sorry. No matter how often God forgives the man, no person should tolerate being abused by another for any reason. If you are being abused get yourself to safety. Or take steps to protect yourself. Also the person that is doing the abusing has other problems they need help and if they refuse to seek that help that is a clear indication they don't see any problem with abuse. Therefore their asking for forgiveness is hollow. |

366 | Accounts of Revival | Acts 10:44 | EdB | 238368
Actually they are happening but outside the church. Missionaries often have glorious manifestations of the Holy Spirit occur was they preach to the lost and dying world. Street corner evangelist have report similar occurrences. When they report this back to the church most people discount it because the didn't see it. The press sure isn't going to report about it. The problem is because of abuses by unethical people many manifestations that take place within the church are later proven to be faked or not accurately portraying what actually happened. So people are skeptical and doubting about any move of God. Often simply rejecting it as fake before they know for sure. I had friend preaching in Stalingrad Russia right after the fall of the USSR. In fact as he was preaching he was facing a huge red USSR sign on the other side of the stadium. While he was preaching and without him doing anything or suggesting anything he saw a woman get out of a wheelchair and going around behind it and begin pushing the chair. Her male companion also in a chair watched and then did the same thing. Here are two people in Stalingrad Russia in the Military Officers Training stadium pushing their wheelchairs around the running track. When this was noticed by the people in attendance many who knew this couple the place went nuts. The two had be confined to their chairs since birth and had later met and married. That part of their story had made the news years before, so the people knew them and knew their story. When people saw this miracle manifested before them, they rushed forward and begged my friend to stop preaching and lead them to the God that wrought such a miracle in their presence. My friend as a little taken back because he was trying to figure out what had happened. Finally a translator told him the story about the couple. Needless to say they had revival. Missionaries often have similar stories. So yes these great manifestations do happen but they happen to witness Jesus Christ to the people. Not some man claiming a miracle ministry. |

367 | Should people be warned? | NT general | EdB | 238358
Justme I too have been listening to various speakers but not near enough to formulate a conclusion. From just surface observations I believe there is thread of error woven through the much of what is being said. It appears to me that MacArthur, who I greatly respect and many of the other speakers are talking about abuses committed by the Word of Faith Movement and using them to characterize Pentecostalism in general. Believe me there is a wide gulf between genuine Pentecostalism and the "name and claim it" "blab it and grab it" health, wealth and prosperity gospel hokum seen on TV. |

369 | was satan ever an angel | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 238348
Satan is a spirit being, but scripture does not give us a lot of detail about him. We know he is God's adversary and ours. We also know he is a liar and the accuser of the saints but his exact nature is unknown. Many think he was an archangel like Micheal but again that little more than a guess. |

I'm not sure we understand your question. What time frame are you talking about. When God originally gave the land to Israel (Abraham)? Or when the Children of Israel returned from slavery in Egypt? Or today as the Jew returns to the land of Israel? Each had particular complications and for different reasons. |

376 | Solomon's age when he became king | OT general | EdB | 238266
Scripture does not say however this website http://www.3amthoughts.com/article/people-and-places/solomons-age Has the most concise and complete answer on the speculation of his age. See below. “The king also said to them, ‘Take with you the servants of your lord, and have Solomon my son ride on my own mule, and take him down to Gihon. There let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king over Israel.” (1 Kings 1:33-34 NKJV) The age of Solomon when he became king is not specified. However, it may be that he was as young as 12 when he assumed the throne TRADITION There are several Jewish traditions that indicate that Solomon was only 12-14 years old when he assumed the throne • One tradition states, “On his deathbed Kind David who was 70 years old at the time, commanded his son Shlomo who was 12 years old, to keep the Torah … Shlomo was made king at the age of 12. He ruled for 40 years and passed away at the age of 52.” (See “King David's Last Will and Testament”, also known as “The Haftarah for Parashat VaYechi” at http://www.shemayisrael.co.il/parsha/haftorah/archives/vayechi62.htm) • Another tradition states, “Before David dies, he appoints as king his son Solomon, who is 12 years old at the time, with these words … Born in 848 BCE, Solomon dies at age 52 in 796 BCE, ruling as king for 40 years.” (See “Crash Course in Jewish History Part 19 - King Solomon” at http://www.aish.com/literacy/jewishhistory/Crash_Course_in_Jewish_History_Part_19_-_King_Solomon.asp) • The ancient historian Josephus states that Solomon was 14 years old when he became king: “So Solomon died when he was already an old man, having reigned eighty years, and lived ninety-four.” (“Antiquities of the Jews, by Flavius Josephus, Book 8, Chapter 7, section 8 [8.46], accessed 9/3/2012 at http://www.biblestudytools.com/history/flavius-josephus/antiquities-jews/book-8/chapter-7.html?p 3) |

377 | Why must I continue to hope? | Heb 10:23 | EdB | 238262
I believe you must read this verse in context. Hebrews 10:19-25 (NASB) 19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. No where in this passage does it say the world will change for us once we are saved. We still live in a sin tainted world. Our hope is not in the truth of our salvation at this point but rather in day we will be living in a world where sin no longer exists. As the things of life burden us down we are to be encouraged and to encourage others that this to will pass away and one day our joy will be everlasting. |

378 | Holy Spirit - Tribulation | Bible general Archive 4 | EdB | 238241
Hi I think what you are referring to is the passage 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 (NASB) 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Depending on theology of the church or denomination each has a different interpretation of this passage and assign different things to verse 7. Some suggest the Holy Spirit must be removed, others the church, others an entirely different interpretation. It would be best to go to your pastor and see what he teaches and why. |

379 | Land inheritance to a daughter? | Deut 25:6 | EdB | 238232
I think you are thinking of the daughters of Zelophehad Numbers 27 where their father only had daughters and they petitioned Moses that the inheritance of the their father would not be lost because he didn't have any sons. Moses gave the five daughters of Zelophehad their fathers land and conditioned it with the requirement they married in their father's tribe of Manasseh Numbers 36.
