Hello truth, Can you provide a more specific example of how "hyper-dispensationalist ashamed of admitting what they are?" I'm familiar with this theology, though I don't hold to such an extreme. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

1262 | more than one gospel? | 2 Tim 2:15 | BradK | 209431
Hello truth, Without necessarily endorsing the view, the book by C.A Stam, "Things That Differ" would provide a first-hand summary of this view. Basically, they hold that the Gospel Jesus taught was under the Law and to Israel exclusively.(Matt 10: 5-6) Paul, as the apostle to the Gentiles (Rom.11:13), was revealed the "mystery"(Eph. 3:2-10) writes to those in the Body of Christ. The believer in the Body of Christ is not under the law (Ro. 6:4). They make a distinction between the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of the Grace of God. I hope this helps, BradK |

1264 | Is the Holy Spirit ever feminine gender? | 2 Tim 2:15 | BradK | 210249
Hello SSC, There may be some input by ones more capable than myself on the gender references to the Holy Spirit in the Greek NT! However, I feel compelled to offer some well-intended advice not given lightly. 1. Why are you "studying" this book?; 2. I'd dimiss most of anything either one of them have to say- especially when it gets into the Greek NT! Both are VERY liberal in their theology. Campolo being basically a socialist, McLaren denying most (if not all)of the essential doctrines of Orthodox Christianity. (1 John 4:1-3) I strongly encourage you to run from this book my friend! Rather spend your time in study, prayer and meditation of God's Holy Word! You'll reap much benefit be so doing (Heb. 4:12) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

Hi Keliy, Welcome to the Forum! I've not seen this, nor heard of this phenomena. My suspicions are that if it emmanated from TBN, there good course to dismiss it! Much of what's purveyed on TBN is simply fanciful flight:-) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

1266 | Is NASB better than other translations? | 2 Tim 2:15 | BradK | 211962
Hello svickers, I don't know that the NASB is necessarily preferred over other translations. I think it a matter of preference more than anything. I'll quote from our sponsors info under "Bible Information": "Since its completion in 1971, the New American Standard Bible has been widely embraced as “the most literally accurate English translation” from the original languages. Millions of people, students, scholars, pastors, missionaries, and laypersons alike, trust the NASB, learning from it and applying it to the challenges of their daily lives. Discover what the original text says, word for word. In 1995 the NASB was updated, increasing clarity and readability. Vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure were carefully reviewed for greater understanding and smoother reading. Trust, discover and enjoy the NASB for yourself today." If you desire more insight, just click on the tab at top of this page and the drop down box, "NASB". I hope this helps, BradK |

1276 | James 5 fulfilling befor our eyes? | 2 Tim 2:15 | BradK | 216976
Hello durgstyler, Yes, it is amazing how scripture speaks to us- even our current culture! That is, "the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Heb. 4:12) James, though not written as prophecy has wisdom for us today! Might I ask where you got the 2 percent owning 96 percent of the "money"? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

1280 | Animals in heaven? | 2 Tim 2:15 | BradK | 218272
Hello fiskecherry, Welcome to the Forum. There is actually no direct mention in scripture of animals in heaven. However, here is what Eccl. 3:19-21 says: Eccl 3:19 - For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same. As one dies so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and there is no advantage for man over beast, for all is vanity. Eccl 3:20 - All go to the same place. All came from the dust and all return to the dust. Eccl 3:21 - Who knows that the breath of man ascends upward and the breath of the beast descends downward to the earth?
