1 | What causes tormenting demonic images? | Bible general Archive 3 | Aliennow | 159726
The stronger your relationship comes to Christ the more of a threat you are to Satan and he will attack through demons, deception, and temptation. Have you tried sharing it with your church family and allowing them to lay hands on your husband and pray for deliverance? The concept of spiritual warfare is based on the understanding that Satan and demons are real beings whose primary mission is to thwart God's purposes on earth, specifically to prevent non-believers from placing faith in Christ and to prevent Christians from being effective disciples of Jesus. |

Matthew 5:31-32 "It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.' But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery." |

3 | What is progeny? | Bible general Archive 3 | Aliennow | 159851
Progeny in biology, offspring are the product of reproduction, a new organism produced by one or more parents. Human offspring (descendants) are referred to as children (without reference to age, thus one can refer to a parent's "minor children" or "adult children"); male children are sons and female children are daughters. See kinship and descent. Academic progeny is one who directs zeal at a subject. Also known as a disciple in the sense of a religious area of study, and/or in the sense of a "discipline" of learning. 7 | Using Love as Jesus | Bible general Archive 3 | Aliennow | 160218
It is prayer for someone in need. It is helping the homeless find shelter. It is standing up for that one kid in school who is picked on. It is helping out somebody financially when they are struggling. It is honoring our father and mother. Jesus would be hanging around with those who are in need or are less fortunate. He would be hanging with the crowds that do not know Him and witnessing to them. He would not stay contained within the 4 walls of one church building, but would see the church as a whole. When you think of what Jesus is doing today, think of love! Blessings, Aliennow |

8 | Living Life | Bible general Archive 3 | Aliennow | 160220
I believe that God gave us a purpose in our lives and if we choose to follow Him, we are following His plan for us, and He will be with us every step of the way. He did take into consideration our free will and I believe that is why Christ died for our sins, because God knew Satan would hold us for ransom. If you are living everyday for God then I believe you are fulfilling His plan for your life. Blessings, Aliennow |

13 | Unity in the Church.... | 2 Chr 1:1 | Aliennow | 159834
2 Chronicles 30:12 Psalm 133:1 John 17:23 Romans 15:5 Ephesians 4:1 Ephesians 4:3 Ephesians 4:13 Colossians 3:14 Here are some really good referance verses about unity. Unity in all areas of life is important including the church. That does not mean that there will never be disputes, but people need to forget them when they are through and move on as brothers and sisters in Christ. |

14 | Apostles' Creed support the deity? | Matt 1:23 | Aliennow | 159836
Dear forwwjd, Read this and sit back and think about it. A deity or a god, is a postulated preternatural being, usually, but not always, of significant power, worshipped, thought holy, divine, or sacred, held in high regard, or respected by human beings. They assume a variety of forms, but are frequently depicted as having human or animal form. Sometimes it is considered blasphemous to imagine the deity as having any concrete form. They are usually immortal. They are commonly assumed to have personalities and to possess consciousness, intellects, desires, and emotions much like humans. Such natural phenomena as lightning, floods, storms, other "acts of God”, and miracles are attributed to them, and they may be thought to be the authorities or controllers of every aspect of human life (such as birth or the afterlife). Some deities are asserted to be the directors of time and fate itself, to be the givers of human law and morality, to be the ultimate judges of human worth and behavior, and to be the designers and creators of the Earth or the universe. 15 | Was Judas Iscariot a believer? | Matt 5:13 | Aliennow | 159849
I do beleive that Judas was a beleiver, but being a beleiver does not mean that we will never sin. Things change rapidly once Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot. Judas does not act alone. Deception has infiltrated the camp. No matter what the devil promises, Satan's entry into one's life is destructive. Sin always distorts reality. In addition, a cosmic chess match comes to its crucial moment. Satan will put Jesus in check, but Jesus will make the final move that means checkmate. The Last Supper and Jesus' Final Teaching Not all of Jesus' news is good. The cosmic battle is not just between Jesus and Satan. Anyone associated with Jesus is subject to satanic attack. Hope this helps! |

16 | Aliennow Can Satan enter belivers heart | Matt 5:13 | Aliennow | 159986
I look at the word believer as believing in something. We have plenty of people in church who believe, but are not saved. There is a difference! So yes Satan can enter a believers heart.
17 | How are God's promises being fulfilled? | Matt 22:32 | Aliennow | 159707
Matthew 22:32 "I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. So he is the God of the living, not the dead." Jacob was the third in the link of God's plan to start a nation from Abraham. The success of that plan was more often in spite of than because of Jacob's life. Also read through Hebrews 11:9. |

18 | John 3:16 | John 3:16 | Aliennow | 159725
This is clearly Jesus speaking. The message of the Good News comes to a focus in this verse. God's love is not static or self-centered, it reaches out and draws others in. Here God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships - when you love somebody dearly, you are wiling to give freely to the point of self-sacrafice. God paid dearly with the life of his son, the highest price He could pay. Jesus, not John, accepted our punishment, paid the price for our sins, and then offered us the new life that he had bought for us. |

19 | WHY DOES THE BIBLE SAY THAT THE DEVIL IS | John 8:44 | Aliennow | 159727
Originally, only the epithet of "the satan" or "the adversary" was used to denote the character in the Hebrew deity's court that later became known as "the Devil". The article was lost and this title became a proper name: Satan. There is no unambiguous basis for the Devil in the Torah, the Prophets, or the Writings. Zechariah 3:1--"And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and ha-satan standing at his right hand to resist him." This reading has since been erroneously interpreted by some to mean Satan, "the Devil", but such is not the case. The Hebrew Bible views ha-satan as an angel ministering to the desires of God, acting as Chief Prosecutor. The tempter: Gospel of Matthew 4:3--"And when the tempter came to him." None escape his temptations. He is continually soliciting men to sin. In Gospel of Matthew 10:25 and 12:24, Mark 3:22, and openly in Luke 11:18-19 there is an implied connection between Satan and Beelzebub (originally a Semitic deity called Baal-zebul, one of the Baals.) Beelzebub (lit. "Lord of the Flies") has now come to be analogous to Satan. The wicked one: Matt. 13:19--"Then cometh the wicked one." Matt. 6:13; 1 John 5:19. This title suggests that Satan is one who is wicked himself. Abrahamic religions generally regarded sin as a physical manifestation of opposition to God, and therefore evil; dissent only comes from the topic of 'where does sin come from?' In John 12:31 and 14:30 Satan is called Prince of this World; this became a nickname for him. 1 Peter 5:8--"Your adversary the devil." By adversary is meant one who takes a stand against another. In the Christian worldview, Satan is the adversary of both God and humanity. The Devil, diabolos: This name is ascribed to Satan at least 33 times in the Christian scriptures and indicates that Satan is an accuser or slanderer (Rev. 12:9). Dragon or The Old Serpent: These epithets are used extensively in the Book of Revelation. The Beast (Book of Revelation 13:1-18) is a term John the Evangelist used to refer to a "puppet" of the dragon's (Satan), and a term supposedly used by John in Revelation 17:3-17 to designate the Devil (or the Antichrist); this name appears several times in the book of Revelation, and it became another nickname for Satan. Abaddon or Apollyon: Referred to in Revelation 9:11, commonly interpreted as the name of Satan in Hebrew and Greek respectively. |

20 | Assumption or truth? | John 17:3 | Aliennow | 159852
Dear CDBJ - Have you heard of the Romans Road to salvation? The "Romans Road" refers to a set of scriptures from the book of Romans that Christian evangelists use to present a clear and simple case for personal salvation for each person. They are: Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23a "...The wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23b "...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8 "God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!" Romans 10:9,10 "...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." Romans 10:13 "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!" Joy, Alienow |
