2 | tell me the life for joshua | Bible general Archive 3 | zoetrope | 190277
The successor of Moses, who took the children of Israel across the Jordan... set up twelve stones to be a memorial to the Jordan drying up for the people to cross... an Angel came to him near Jericho... he led the valiant men to conquer the land promised to them... he gave the children of Israel their lots, or inheritance... he set up the cities of refuge (courts of amnesty) with judges and officers of law... he made a covenant with the leaders of the tribes of Israel that they would serve God and not the strange gods they had known before their liberation. Joshua and Judges make for a really good, exciting read! You should certainly read it through. A lot of good stories in there. |

4 | explaining Jobs friends to kids | Job | zoetrope | 190224
I know nothing, am nothing, and have no opinion of my own... The word is my delight, Jesus is Lord, and the Spirit is my guide. Mainzy, Here is a rule of thumb the spirit says through Paul to sum up a greater part of Job's friends dilemma: 1Cor4:4-5 4 "For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. 5 Therefore JUDGE nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God." Therefore, be charitable, strengthen the weak and bear witness. Leave judgement to who is appointed judge, or you too will be judged. Too late for last Sunday, but to God it's always now. zoe |
