1 | What are the Sevenfold Spirits of God? | Rev 1:4 | Carol Nemitz | 197011 | ||
About your question on The Seven Spirits of God I believe these are listed in Isaiah 11:1-2 Jesus is the Tree and we are the Branches. He must become our Tree of Life. We do this by nurturing our relationship with Him every day. 11:1 AND THERE shall come forth a Shoot out of the stock of Jesse [David's father], and a Branch out of his roots shall grow and bear fruit. [Isa 4:2; Matt 2:23; Rev 5:5; 22:16.] 2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him— the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord-- (Quoted from the Amplified Version of the Bible) I believe the 7 Spirits of God in Rev. 1:4 is referring to the Menorah in the Old Testament Temple This Temple is a figure and type of that Temple in Heaven that the Holy Spirit comes to build in our own spirit when we ask Jesus Christ to be Lord of our lives. The Mind of Christ must become our Light like a Torch in our souls. Otherwise it is dark in there. There are explanations that the Holy Spirit will bring to your soul as you open it up to Him. You open your soul by opening these three things to Jesus as your High Priest: 1. your mind (the Candlestick), 2. your will (the Table of Bread), and 3. your emotions (the Altar of Incense) The Seven Spirits of God are a Candlestick: The Menorah is a candlestick with 7 Branches: These Seven Branches of God’s Character are our pattern for our own mind So that we will walk and work and think in the Light of His Love 1. The Holy Spirit of Jesus is the Middle Branch. Then off of Him there are 6 Branches of His Character to Light our Way to the Father 2. The Spirit of Wisdom of The Lord which is paired with 3. The Spirit of Understanding of The Lord 4. The Spirit of the Council of The Lord which is paired with 5. The Spirit of the Might of The Lord 6. Then The Spirit of The Revelation Knowledge of The Lord 7. Which is paired with The Reverential and Obedient Fear of The Lord Each one of these 7 is a Torch that we need filled with fresh oil (Anointing from God) And set ablaze with the Fire of God’s Holy Spirit or we will not walk in His Light We must visit our High Priest (Jesus) daily to get our wicks trimmed, and the right recipe for the oil to fill us up or else we are “smoking” strange fire and not bringing His Light. These 7 represent what the Holy Spirit wants to build in our own heart and mind To find out what happens when this Lampstand gets in order in our lives Read Ephesians 1:17-23 (The Eyes of our Heart are lit up and come alive!)
