Dear Psalm 25 A warm welcome! No problem my friend, I to am new to SBF, and know how easy it is to come out with a misconceived notion that I had some needed answers, or could somehow right a perceived wrong, I'm still at it by the way, only to be gently rebuked by many wiser and more mature brothers and sisters. You have shown much grace my friend. I know you will find this a place to grow in the knowledge of the lord, and have sweet fellowship with some very knowledgeable and very patient, brothers and sisters. We are all learning by the way, I'm sure you know that sanctification goes on as long as we are in this skin we are wearing, and probably in my opinion forever, as we will never be equal to Jesus. But be ever transforming to His image. I hope you will stick around and study with us. Welcome my friend. God bless. John |

Amen Jeff, His grace and mercy never ceases to amaze! It seems to just go, the deeper we go, the deeper it gets. Rom 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! God bless.John |

Hello L4W2H, Please forgive, but your questions do seem very dissentious, and may I add, furtive, causes one to wonder about the reference to the k9. There are those who are somewhat stiff, I am one, when it comes to salvation, and how it is attained. i.e. at the cross! John 19:30 Payed in full-!! By the way; that is, Sheep, you are chatting, with a sheep....Baaah. John 10:27 God bless. John |

Hi Doc, And thanks for the heads up, but thats were I was headed. certainly we need the Word, but we are blind to its meaning, without the Spirit. God bless. John ****************** It brings no solace to the unspiritual man to be told he is mistaken. To say he is self-deceived is nether to compliment him nor Christianity. He builds in all sincerity who raises his alter to the unknown God. He does not know God. With all his marvelous and complex correspondences, he is still one correspondence short. Henry Drummond. |

Hi Searcher, I'd Like to ask you a few questions and make a statement, if I may please. I hope you don't mind. Please consider the following. 1) Did you happen to read the post she was responding to? 2) Did you happen to notice how she responded to it? 3) Did you happen to read the part were she said, Amen and Amen! 4) Did you happen to notice the part were she implied that someone would have to be foolish to believe the teaching of the jw's and watchtower? 5) I didn't see anywhere in terms and conditions were you cant, or even shouldn't reply to an old post. 6) Are the old-timers the only ones that can have, or open a discussion on a topic? God bless. John |

1589 | Nephilim Humans? | Gen 6:4 | stjohn | 186756
Amen, A_Friend, And more then sensible, Jesus teaches us in matthew that without doubt, angels do not marie. Therefore, to take the view that giants are the offspring of angles and humans is anti scriptural,. Absolute nonsense! Matt 22:30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. God bless. John |

1590 | Questioning sincerity | John 3:12 | stjohn | 186745
The Christian apologist never futher misses the mark then when he refueses the testimony of the Agnositc to himself. When the Agnostic tells me that he is blind and deaf, dumb, torped, and dead to the spiritual world, I must believe him. Jesus tells me that. Sience tells me that. He knows nothing of this outermost circle; and we are compeled to trust his sincerity as readily when he deplores it as if, being a man without an ear, he professed to know nothing of a musical world, or being without taste, of a world of art. 1591 | Can one who commits suicide be saved? | Ex 20:13 | stjohn | 186738
Amen, And, may I add, Justice and sovereignty, are sometimes little understood by the immature Christian. I remember very well, reading the story of Lot, and thinking that he was lost to eternal damnation. Only to find in Peter's epistle, that he was righteous?-! Hmm. God; evidently, can do as He pleases, with whom he pleases! He can take, or bring, if you please, a child of His home, by whatever means He sees fit, no-mater what it may 'look' like, or 'feel' like , to the onlooker. Ananias and Sapphira, Acts 5:1-5, are another prime exsample of His soverenty. Thanks. God bless. John |

Hello HeirofGod, I guess you've cornered the market on depression haven't you young man? Well, I've looked at a pistol more then once and wondered what a muzzle flash would look like strait on! Having been in severe depression I know what I am talking about as well. And You just happen to be wrong. You should really take the advice of your elder and wiser brothers my young friend. You are being pretty hard-nosed and stiff-necked about this, Lighten up brother. Scripturally you are wrong, It doesn't mater how you 'feel' about it. You may think its the Holly Spirit, but if it doesn't line up with Scripture, well, I'll have to reject it. And obviously, as do others. You really might just want to pray and ask again my friend. I do agree with a lot of what you said, but damning to hell, does not a suicide do. God bless. John |

Thanks Hank! Yea I'd agree, John is amazing! So simple, but it carries volumes of info. I didn't really get a new brain, just took the old one out for a washing. That reminds me, I asked my son what he thought about the fact that his church was accused of brain washing teenagers. His response,-.. Wash it Lord! I need a good brain washing! :-) God Bless. 1596 | 2 Natures? | Phil 2:6 | stjohn | 186653
Mornin Hank! Well, Got up and put on a fresh brain, and decided the order wasn't quite so tall, that is if the one reading is willing to accept it. I don't think I could do to much better this. ;-) John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. 6 There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. 9 There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. Here's just a little back up. Phil 2:7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. I know there's a lot more, but I think that does cover it pretty well. God bless. John |
