684 | What about other death punishments? | Prov 6:16 | justme | 142277
nelson9770: Let me assure you I feel the exact way about Jesus Christ and His undeserved love for me. I have seem people from all types of sinful backgrounds come to Christ. I do not judge them, however the Word of God does clearly and openly make strong definate warnings to those who reject Jesus Christ. Would you not agree? It would be against Gods basic personality to punish anyone who had not been warned against something God says is not compatible with His requirements for salvation. That would be not only unfair, but most assuredly a trap. Romans chapter one is the very warning, and the way those who defend homosexuality fall into satans trap. This all starts with an unthankful heart, then it is down hill from that point on. Jesus is the Judge, not me or you. Having been a pastor I can say very honestly I have seen first hand, a young boy who was sucked into homosexuality by and older man. Nothing anyone did could win this boy back. He is now in his mid thirities, and rejects everything that he once thought was good. Nelson, having compassion for anyone who is not a Christian is not a choice, it is a command. No matter what the sin! I would be chargeable for misleading a person if I were to say homosexuals live an acceptable lifestyle. Children are easly enticed by someone who gives love and builds their trust. This is how child molesters get their victims. Please do not think that homosexuals should not kept at bay. Would you expose your son or daughter to open sexual perversion? I have reasearched the homosexual lifestyle while I was in Seminary, actually going to the Metropolitan Church and interviewing the pastor. (I use the term pastor only because he called himself that.) This was an awakening that rocked my world! I will not go into the Scripture twisting the gay church uses, but to say it is liberal is too conserative. May I suggest you go to a large cities emergency room at the hospital. Ask them what they have seen in regards to what demented things homosexuals get themselves involved with. When you say "I will only listen, love, and help others." Is it love not to warn a person that that his house is on fire as he sleeps? Yes, neither of us make the sentence of hell on anyone, and it is not Gods desire to send anyone to hell. That choice rests entirely on the person who rejects Jesus Christ and His teachings. I am afraid you are very nieve or ignorant when you say "I do not believe that the "gay agenda" is trying to convert others." Most assuredly the gay movement has FORCED many schools to use books that teach small children its ok to have two daddy's, or two mommy's! Have you not noticed that television has very openly gay programs? Gays have the ACLU that comes to their beck and call every time they attempt to force their lifestyle on our schools, laws, and any place they can. They have Lobbyist's that are very well financed to push for rights that they feel are entitled to. One example is that they ate trying claim they are a minority group. With less than 3 percent of the true population, being homosexual they have much more desposable income to use on forcing their agenda. In some highschools hetrosexual couples can not even hold hands, but yet gays have been allowed to kiss, hold hands, and have public desplay of affection. This is happening in a nearby town where I live. Nelson go to a Borders, or Barns and Noble bookstore, go the the section that is for gays, look at the books, then tell me they are not trying to convert others! Enlightment will come at a cost, and I caution you the images are revolting! Finally Nelson, Romans 14:22 says "....Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves." I suggest you become more aware of what you are condoning before you become a stumbling block for those who are reading and watching what you seem to approve of. Blessings. justme |

Doc:I have not yet read the articles, so please allow me to be able to read them later and respond to this if I change my mind. Are you and I responsible for for the personal actions of our fathers according to Scripture? Are you accountable for my sin? I am chargeable for those I have the oppertunity to witnes to. If I read Romans chapter one rightly then the responsiblity resides on each individule themself. The body of Christ, the Chruch must reach out and be seeker friendly, but even the Church Paul has written warnings about such sexual and immoral sin. Blessings. justme |

686 | living conditions while married | Prov 25:24 | justme | 226575
godslilchild: 1 Corinthians 7:5 "Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." NIV. A married couple not living together by choice is not Biblical and sinful. Even couples that have to separate because of work transfers are taking a huge risk. We live in a time that a wedding ring means nothing to those on the prowl for "sexual recreation". If there is no way to avoid being separated, like military service, then each must be celibate until they come back together. Too often temptation comes when we least expect it. No one is exempt from temptation. Scripture says God will provide a way of escape from temptation. Trust in marriage is vital and needs protection at all cost. Being separated is a very serious risk and no marriage can exist while living apart by choice because you can't get along. justme |

He-Man: I find your interesting. Perhaps I said something that caused you to get the idea I have not or am not serving Christ. With the grace of God I was able to get a B.A., a M.Div. and a M.A.R.S. degrees. I served as postor to four churches, and outreach and evangelism in one other. My wife and I have help start a church, and closed one too. Retired from any paid ministry due to major health problems does not stop us from serving our childrens families, and our local church. As a note the KJV has has many revisions, and the 1769 might be the year Cambridge started the printing of a certian style of Bible, but you need not type in the 1796 as that years revision, if there was one that year of 1769, would not be what you are quoting from. Have you ever tried the NASB? The New KJVis much more inline with todays English usage. Thanks for your note. Where are you in ministry now? I am pleased you are serving Christ. Blessings. justme. |

Hank:-) Our pet turttle (soft shell) we got out of Lake of the Ozark, passed on. After many tears and feelings of sadness, what kind of funeral should we have, or should we eat it? We properly froze it's remains, so we could go either way. I feel sure an Arkansas man like yourself could give us some good advice. Thanks for your assistance in this matter. A big HI from us Ozark poeple. justme |

Hank: Thank you for the tender words that were like a sweet smell of gardenias to my soul. Pleasent words that encourage are indeed as smooth as honey. Oh, Hank, by the way the latest "Left Behind" book is out recently. If you hurry there may still be a copy left for you. But, not to worry, becaus by the way it ends in the last page it seems like a lead into a whole new set of books are sure to follow. With the money a person spends on the whole set of "left Behind" fiction books cost a person could buy a pretty nice set of Commentairies, and thery won't leave you "left behind" and are not fiction. Thanks again for your kind words, blessings to you. justme |

Searcher:I think that almah in Isaiah 7:14 is proved to be vergin by Matthew 1:23. When ever a Old Testment verse is repeated in the New Testament the verse is made clear it's meaning by how the verse is used in the New Testament. Liberal students might take the meaning to just mean young woman. Neo-orthodox Theology does teach that the NT word only means yound woman, and the scripture in Isaiah only refers to a woman living at the time it was written. I believe is was refering to Mary the virgin Mother of Jesus Christ. Blessings. justme |

EdB: I think your note is very well done, and I agree totally with what you have said. I found a book several years ago, THE GOD WHO HEARS by W. Bringham Hunter,IV Press 1986. I found some deep answers to many questions most of us have about prayer. I also this last year learned the importance of asking to be in Gods direct will, rather than what I feel or I think I should have. When I was told I had cancer, my wife and I prayed to be in the Lords direct will, no matter if I was to live with cancer or be relieved of cancer. I asked my Pastor and Elders to be annointed with oil and prayer over. I asked this in obedience to James 5:14-16. Before this happened there was a time of confession of sins, by all who were led to do so in prayer. All this was done as an act of obedience and faith, that we had given my life to the Lord to do with as His will was to be. With this act done we rested with the assurance that no matter how my cancer turned out I was in the Lord Jesus direct will. I have been content and not anxious about the results. For the time allowed me, even if it turns out I no longer have cancer, I will most assuredly die sooner or later. No matter what we do it is only for a short time at best. Then if we really believe what Jesus said I will be going home to be with Him! As I write this very note my Dad who is 83, is slowly being ussered in to his final home. Some day I will see all those who I have known who have gone home before me. Blessings to you Ed! Merry celebration of Christ's Birth. justme |

Finkywood:-) This has been a time that I have seen a consistant walk with the Lord in prayer and in His Word does become our strength and upholds us in time of trouble. Because Jesus lives I can face tommrow with confidence He is in control. I have not always had this peace, and I don't ever want to be that way again. Blessings Colin. justme |

Denim: thank you for your note. about 35 years ago my wife and I went to a Kathryn Kulman meeting in Los Angles. She had great command of the audience, and was able to "slay people in the spirit" one after the other. At the time Kulman was seen as much the same as Benny Hinn is today in his healing meetings of today. I am sorry to say that Kulman and Hinn have bankrupted so many unespecting Christians faith. I feel so sad for those who are so desperate to have the feeling of being close to God, that they are led astray from the Word God has given us. Just like rat poison which has 95 percent good food in it, so it is with the deadly message these false teachers use to begile and fleece the flock. I hope you do not consider what I have said as a personal attack. I am just pointing out how these false teachers serve a god, and it is not that of Jesus Christ teachings. Blesings. justme |

denim: Thank you for your response. This has been a subject of many many dialogues on this forum, and is repeated quite often. I have learned that if a person is devoted to the Word of Faith movement, that this dialogue usually winds up with some anger and resentment, which I do not want to happen. So may I suggest a different direction than what I have taken before. Go to equip.org and then type in the names of these teachers. Also may I suggest the book CHRISTIANITY IN CRISIS by Hank Hanegraaff. I believe you can even check it out in most any public Library or perhaps your churches. I can tell you it is one worth buying. I am not trying to avoid you. I have in the past written many notes and quoted yards of material only for someone to say I do not believe it. So rather than take my word you can even copy material from these sourses. After you have gone and read the material on equip.org I would be willing to dialogue with you if you like. Denim: The full address is http://www.equip.org I made sure is is accurate. Sorry I did not give you the complete web address. I am glad you are seeking answers as this is good. I really want you to see for yourself what I am saying is true. I ahve done enough term papers in my life time to appreciate that learning that I dig for means so much more than what was just handed to me on a plate, ready to consume. Please move in faith and ask the Lord to direct your search. Blessings and peace. justme |

Very well put Joe! I might add Romans 8:29 How we suffer to be conformed into the image of Christ! C. S. Lewis wrote extensively on the suffering of man. Lewis said suffering is the megaphone that gets mans attention. Not a quote a summary of mine. I believe Lewis was on track. His book was titled PAIN AND SUFFERING and is in paper back at very affordable price or perhaps a Church Library or regular libarary will have it. Well worth the reading. Also the movie of C. S, Lewis's life SHADOW LANDS is very good. View it several time and you will get something new every time. agape, justme |
