RR144: Your note was not in any way informative to jcan5. Assume that jcan5 was a new believer, what encouragement was your note? Having spent a number of years study of scripture, your mention of Rotherhams is a new version to me. I have never seen this ever in any Christian Book store, where would one get such a version? I say this in genuine kindness, it might well be better to give useful, positive information, than a negative one. My thought is we need to uplift, encourage, and give assistance in a way that brings people closer to the LORD, than make it seem hard. Any thoughts? Could you give me some information on the Rotherhams Vresion, please. Blessings to you. justme |

RR144: I just went and looked up Rotherhams Version. Why not just come out and say "New World Translation"? That is a JW, dishonest, distorted. cultic text if ever there was one! Why on God's green earth would you suggest such a cultic text, unless you are a cult member of the JW. Are you a JW? justme |

RR144:Your idea of a "good" translation is not so good. Even rat posion has 98 percent "good" food. The New World translation will lead people into a very OLD God Created Place called HELL! I think you may be a wolf in sheeps clothing? Are you a JW? justme |

RR144: I made a VERY SERIOUS MISTAKE! PLEASE FORGIVE MY IGNORANCE! When I typer in "Rothham" by my blunderious error, not only did I insult you, I made a fool out of my self! My deepest applology to you. I sincerely seek your forgiveness! In the investigation of this I found it is refered to as The "Emphasized Bible" and has an excellent reputation. I have learned valuable information thanks to your patients with me. I am truely sorry and will correct this with jcan5 right now! I am very humilated and seek to resolve my stupidity with you. justme |

RR144: I did call several Christian book stores and none had one but all could order it. I have learned, again, never think I am so wise as to think I can't blow it! This has been a humbling experience and I do mean humble. What is most disturbing is The search I used still shows the connection to the Watchtower, and when I looded up the site you have the American Bible Society even affirms the translation. So I acted in good (or bad faith) in the search I used. Oh, I have to try to swallow the worms I dug up, and wash off the mud off my spiritual face. justme |

406 | What is the purpose of the anointing? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 85140
DairyLeader5: Thank you for your response. Anointing has many symbolic meanings, that interweave with the Holy Spirit, being set aside for a special task, and even the laying on of the hands is significant. NOTHING the Lord Jesus has instructed us to do, in His Word is without purpose. I have found that often there are several meanings in scripture of the same verse. My anointing was most eventful, and awasome. The love that surronded us and the Mercy and Grace of Christ was present. I am blessed to have a Pastor and Elders that believe in anointing the sick. I am glad the Lord choose to heal your body, there is a reason, I am sure you know the reason and are making the most of the time God has given you. I intend to praise the Lord until my time is complete, no matter when that is. Blessings and peace to you. justme |

goodnewsminister: Your view is not uncommon, and either you are a Seventh Day Adventist, or perhaps a Universalist. I pose to you the question, what if you are wrong? What if your theology is flawed and because someone followed your direction they do end up in eternal seperation from God? Why not just believe as Jesus said, that no one would get to the Father but by Him. There is consequenses for rejecting Jesus Christ and just ending ones consicense existance is not in line with any Orthodox view of Scripture, unless you consider Neo-Orthodox Theology legitmate. Your thoughts? justme |

goodnewsminister: Respectfully I disagree. With reguards to Hell, if I am understanding you you do not believe is is a place of eternal torment with degrees or punnishment? Am I to understand you reject the Triune God, the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit? I ask these question to make sure I am sure of your positions. My thoughts are dialogue on theology are good, only when there is respect, kindness, and a willingness to see what the other person has to say. I say all this to prevent any anger or attenpt to attack the other persons Christianity. I have had several dialogues that have been enlightening and ended well, neither of us changing but good exchange of views. That's my thoughts. What Church do you affliate with? I have a Baptist background, but I attend a nondenominational church which is comtempoary. I look for your response. justme |

goodnewsminister: After reading your note to someone else, you refered them to two webb sites. I spent some time looking at them, and I did call the phome listed in the webb page. Italked with a lady and she answered my questions. I am certian that you have inbedded this theology and doctrine that you have been able to explain in a clear way. I am sure we both see that much dialoge between us on these issues is rather unlikely to change either of us. I am at present dealing with a sever life threatening medical problem. With respect to you, and and an attempt to conservive my stress ability, I believe we are stalemated. I think the better of wisdom tells me neither of will win a baller for trying to expend the amount of energy need to keep up a endless dialogue. I sincerely understand where you are coming from and what you believe. However, I respect your free will that God has given us all. I state as you well know that my understanding of Biblical Doctrine and Theology are much different than yours. I do not see in Scripture, what you proclaim as truth, what I call seriously flawed under pinning of Scripture as your base upon which you build your theology. With this said I think my time is better spent in other dialogues, and I mean no offense, and wishyou well. justme |

Radioman2: I appaud you statement! You are correct in every word you have written. I know because I looked this up myself, before I read your note. There is a TAZE fellowship in Europe, I am not positive but I think it's France. This origanization accept everyone, from every beliefe, and they worship as one. TAZE is a communial group metting foe a certian amount of time and they charge a very small amount for food and it appears they would turn no one down. People stay in homes in the area, or camp out. It is a mediation and feel good type of place. This looks like a cult, walks like a cult, and has a very low view of scripture, and has twisted scripture like a cult. Is it a cult? I think it is! Any thoughts? justme |

Emmaus: Respectfully I disagree with you. I have serious doubts about some ecumenical groups. I do not want to make this an "open fire at me issue", but I do not agree with Catholic theology. There are several areas Doctrine that have a significantly huge gap in what protestants and Catholics. Some protestants do not consider an ecumenical effort with Catholics as anything but compremising their faith. I say this as a point that some protestants have been in Central and South America seeing first hand, what some would call cults syncratised with the Catholic Church. I find no scriture that says we are to pray to and for help from any Apostle or Mary. Pergatory would another issue that there would be no allow middle grounds on which to base a ecumenical movement. I say this not to offend you but to show how some would, with honest protestant beliefs consider Taize a cult. I am such a person. I have spent much time on the Taize web page. So I even recieved the e-mails from them for several months. From my protestant view Taize is a cult. I am concerned that lest anyone believe that there are not Christians in the Catholic Church. I do say the Catholic Church takes tradition and Scripture and makes the both equal. That I find a serious flaw. I understand where you are coming from, and we have dialogued an several issues. I have never let my thoughts and beliefs about the Catholic Church bring distance between us. However, I feel with you belief that Taize in not a cult, and I believe it is, you needed to where I was coming from. Please do not consider this is an attack on you. I accept we have a big gap in our beliefs, and continue from there. Peace be between us. justme |

412 | Vesre concerning premarital sex? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 89657
Prodical son: Welcome to the forum! After reading you note a few things entered my mind. In Hebrews it says the marriage bed be kept pure. Hebrews 13:4. Unlike today when a large number of Christians do live together before marriage, back in the time of the writer of Hebrews. Then it was risky to even suggest such a thing. I believe this is quite clear the Bible does in fact address sexual immorality. Sexual involvement outside of marriage is worng (SIN), this a very serious sin. There is no such thing as recreational sex, and there is a prrice to pay for braking these serious warnings against such. I might add that Colossiand 3:5 says the wrath of God is coming becaure of such defience of of such immoral activiteis. Any thoughts? Blesings. justme |

415 | Does Heb 6 support "always saved"? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 90167
Aspiring Overseer: You have a good insight, and have brought an excellent point. In the verses where does it say these enlightened ones were saved? Not any where. The those and the partakers are those who got to repentance, and then fell away. The Scripture clearly states that when a person has come this close and every available way to prove that Jesus is the Only way, and then to turn and continue to fall away, it is impossible to renew them. Does this make it clearer. I might suggest the NASB Stuty Bible or the NIV Study Bible as these have the options listed and the why each is or is not a wise choice. This would be a wise investmment for a future overseer. Any thoughts? justme |

416 | Will you see lost loved ones in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | justme | 90172
PastorFloyd: You gave a nice story. The story was interesting, but to say all you did with a tacked on Scripture on the end, that did not address the questuins asked seems to be sadly lacking. I would expect this kind of response for a member of UNITY! Is this really what you felt was the best answer you could help this person in grief? I want not to offend you, but to say this is a BIBLE FORUM not a readers Digest or Guide magizine. Perhaps if you did not know some real Scripture that would help comfort this grieving person, you should have let someone who was better able to answer this person. By your profile it seems you have a full load of burdens that are pretty heavy. There seems to be many grand parents having to help raise theeir grandchildren. My heart and prayers go with you. Blessings. justme |
