Rick: Romans 14:22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who dese not condemn himself by what he approves." NIV. In 1987 one of the people of the town I pastored in had sent nearly twenty thousand dollars to Oral Roberts for his hospital. Less than a year after sending this money the woman had to have a kidney removed. She was told if she ever needed medical care the hospital would be there for them. The truth is the hospital would not even let her come for a reduced rate! She went to a county health department, got assistance from the state and welfare paid for ther surgery. The Orak Roberts hospital used so many peoples money for what? The lifestyle of Joyce Meyer is not one that many of her followers have. All the names I mentioned before all live very wealthy lives. I find that inconsistant with Scripture in the way these people live and use their followers to supply them with such outlandish materialistic things. These false theachers / preachers, are a bottomless money pit, that have no idea what to be content means, or to live as the average follower lives. The Golden Rule is not applical for those who have privale jets, gold fixtures in their bathrooms, or airconditioning in the dogs house. Rick have you read any of Joyce meyers books? An interesting fact is that rat poison is ninty five percent good food, but deadly! I believe I have ridden this Missouri mule about as far I can. We are the fork in the road, which direction you take is up to you. Blessings. justme |

Hopalong: As anyone who has put emotional and spiritual faith into something that appears to be soild ground, we stand by our convictions. But when the solid groundss turns out to be quick sand or a sink hole, we either see the turth or bankrupt our faith. You listened to the Holy Spirit, and rather than stay in fimular teachings you followed the Lords leading. Bless your heart! justme |

In God Trust: I indeed, am not only a hypocrite, but I am a sinner. I do not deserve the Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, and Salvation that The Lord Jesus has given us all who have been born again. For by grace I have been saved, and I it has been on no merrit of my own. I openly admit I am in dire need of studing the Word more. May I never stop needing the Word of God like I do my daily food that I eat. In all honesty I look up the Greek less often than I should. I can not speak for others on the Study Bible Forum, but I have rarely had any on my questions be completely ignored, nor have I noticed situation is the five years I ahve been blessed to be a part of this forum. Perhaps, you need to once again read all the posts I made and Kalos, I answered your questions. Perhaps the answere were not what you wanted. I most assuredly do not have the same level of knowledge of Scripture as some in this forum, but I do believe my Biblical insight is good. In the LIFE APPLICATION BIBLE, under Matthew 7:1 the note says "....It is not a blanket statement against all critical thinking, but a call to be discerning rather than negative. Jesus said toexpose false thechers (Matthew 7:15to 23),...." I encourage you to actually read some of Hank Hanegraaff's books, then lets talk about the value of his material and research. The judgement you have placed on Hanegraaff, me, and some in this forum is remarkable in the lack of Christian qualities. However, the very things you have pointed out as errors in others, are the very same issues you have shown to me and others. I doubt that someone attempting to elevate the likes of Joyce meyers, and other Word of Faith false teachers / preachers would go unchallenged in the Bible Study Forum. That is NOT saying that I am speaking for anyone else than myself. Having dealt with many who have had a loved one pass on, the grief we experience comes out in one way or another. Perhaps, this is why there seems to be such a combative attitude in some of your notes. Please know I am still a brother who does have great sympathy, and brotherly love for you and your family. Blessings. justme |

146 | Why the NKJV over the NASB ? | Bible general Archive 3 | justme | 190106
Hank: Thank you for answering my question. I am sorry I did not acknowledge you answer sooner. I went to the Lemstone Christian Book Store, I talked with the new owner about the NASB, and other versions. He told me that there is more sales in the NLT and the ESV. The NIV still carries a large amount of sales, but there is a shift. The shift is slightly away from the NKJV, and a large drop in sales from the NASB. His reasoning was people want an easy to read verson. For me that does not explain why the ESV is doing good. In the SBC churches I know of in our area the NIV and the ESV seem to be used a good bit. When I was the pastor in my first church they had KJV pew Bibles. When it came time to stand for the Scripture reading unless I used the KJV some could not follow. However I did preach out of the NIV. The people liked it so well they changed pew Bibles to the NIV. My dear wife and I read the Daily Bread together, and we read the Scripture out of the NIV. Often we reread the passage in the NASB to see if it is clearer in the NASB. My wife likes the NIV best of all, so that's what we use for devotions together. I have used the Daily Bread from when it first came out in 1955 I think. Once on their mailing list they will stay with you even if you move all over the planet. Never have I been sent a demand if we don't get so much money in we are going down the tubes. This is a genuine ministry, worth supporting. As a side note, so many Bibles are being made in China, and Korea! The workmanship is very good, but the pride of having a Bible made in the USA is harder to find. My wife and me had nothing but the KJV until we were marride about 7 years. How did we ever understand what we read? It did not seem hard at the time, and we were taught how to read KJV in the SS and memorized Scripture in the KJV as well. I don't think we even knew it was written on a 11th grade level. My how things have changed. Thanks for your information! Blessings, oh wise one in Arkansas. justme |

148 | Is there a Theological name for this? | Bible general Archive 3 | justme | 191279
Hank: It is nice to know I am not the only one who is in the a middle ground. I have thought a good while before asking the question. I did not want to start war all over again, so I tried to ask in a way that made sure no one would think I wanted to dialogue about either side. Our Lake of the Ozark has reached it's highest level that we have ever seem. We are sending some down your way. Now is the time to get your fishing gear ready. Blessings, and thank you for your kind answer. justme |

Doc: After serious thought neither side has onehundred percent of the answers, in my opinion. However, I do see how the conclusions came about. Perhaps at sometime, someone, somewhere will write a theology of middle grounds. Thank you for you note Doc. justme |

Jibbs: Truth without love; and love without truth are niether. Scripture says that the world will know we are Christiaans by the LOVE we share with one another. Having read all your notes and responses, it appears to me you are a hurting person, who needs the Lamb of God to heal some deep wounds you seem to carry. Blessinggs, and as you take some time out think about the best way to get people to listem is by speaking kind and sweet words. I once read; "Lord help me to keep my words sweet and tender, for tommrow I may have to eat them. Blessings. justme |

Hank:-) My wife has just read your response, after I told her "You got to come read this! She said "well said!" We lift our hearts in admiration for your ability to use the English language with such wit and truth with the two edged Sord of the Word. I have become weary of repeating the same message of "this is false teaching!" This is especially so when a new person comes to the forum and they get a welcome from a WOF'er who attempts to give a good dose of Copland and healing and wealth. So your statement might be a new introduction to new forum visitors. Just a wild idea, I am not serious. Well maybe.....no better not say it. Just as an added note I had my first bllod test from treatment, and it looks positive so far! Blessings brother Hank! justme and Mrs. |

ApostoloB: Having read this LONG thread all the way, I wanted to come back to this note you wrote. I have been in the Forum for a year or so. I have seen Wof debated in every way that can be done. I have yet to see one person on either side of this debate who has changed their mind on a single issue. This is a fruitless effort on anyones part to try. Im my opinion the only reason someone who is so invested in WOF would stay and debate, or enter into a BIBLE FORUM that is against WOF teachings, and all it stands for, would be to disruptive and be devisive. There are some very kind and very respective Forum members who have given you respect and kindness. Could you state what you intentions are? Why would you want to be so blatent and even challenge or question the faith of some here when we would be within our Christian rights to seek the same information that you with hold? justme |

Emmaus: Thank you for your suggestion. I also kept plugging away and found www.aomin.org This is Dr. James White's web site. I went to college with him. He was a A plus student back then. Now he has this ministry. I will look up your suggestion as well I owe you an apology. Some time ago I said in a note, an unkind remark to you about being a Catholic. I ask your forgivmess, please. I was thoughtless and rude. There is no acceptable reason for me to have put a dividing wall up between us, that was an unchristian thing to have done. We are brothers in Christ and that is how I will respect you forever more. Blessings Emmaaus. justme |

I was in the Navy and spent much time with the "Jar heads" no offence made, insider joke I hope? Blessings Christian7! justmme |

158 | Jesus name of the Father, Son and H/Ghos | Bible general Archive 2 | justme | 97438
cajam: May I address a couple of concerns? I am always wondering why so many ppeople refer to the Holy Spirit as Ghost. Do you use this term because the King James has mis used the word Ghost? There is only one place in the New Testament where the word Ghost is used. I wonder if you are bound to the KJV as being the only reliable translation? Does not Matthew 28.20 instruct us to baptize them in the mame of the Father and Son and the Holy Spirit? I am aware some don't take this literal, but how do you understand that baptism is to be in the name of JESUS ONLY? Cold you help me understand how you feel you can trace your churches history (in the name of Jesus Only) back to Pentecose? I have sutudied Church History for some time, and could you please give me a source for your claims? Could you please tell me who or what is the "rock" you refer to? Now if you ar saying Jesus Christ is the ROCK, I would think you would use an upper case R and not a lower case r. I am just confused how if it is Jesus Only why you would not elevate His name. Why would you not use Jesus's Hebrew name if you want to be very accurate? I sincerely hope to hear some response if you would please. I ask these questions with gunine kindness and respect. Thank you. justme |

HanK:-) Greetings brother. May I add to your list one other but not the only other difference? Eternal Security of the genuinely regenerated beliver. I am use care in saying and underlining "genuinely regenerated believer". For faith that falters had a flaw from the first. That's not my orignal saying, I do not know who or where I got it from, but I think it's worth remembering, for me at least. Blessings to you. justme |
