1181 | CHRISTIAN PLAYING MUSIC IN BAR | Rom 14:22 | justme | 219088
Humbleheart: Why do you assume others do not know about the suations you mention? Even your statement about the church being safe is un true. Disn't you hars about the last two pastors being killed in the worship serivice, in the last 6 months? Ever had to stay with a parents who lost a child? How many pastors are called at all hours and to go to the hospital, or funeral home to be with a member. There are countless hours spent picking up parents at bars and sobering them up so they can go home. Do you have anyidea haw many pastors, elders, deacons have visited jails, got a meal and a place for a family to sleep, because they broke down in a vehicle passing their town and needed help? Friend, your ministry is no different or experienced in suffering with others to share the Gospel. HUMBLE yourself man. As an added little note, my father in law was a drunk. I rescued him so many time I could not count then. The bars he went to and most all bars are the same, a place that does not care if the money being spent was to buy food, clothes or the house payment, or medicine. Please don't tell me I don't know what it's like, I resentfully do. Try going to a hospice and spending time witnessing to those suffering without Christ. Take a mission trip to a third world country and actually work to drilla water well, or help the many AIDS patients without Christ. There is a huge need. Talking with a drunk about Christ is almost a waste of time, I know because I have been there. When a drunk calls a Christian a hypocrite and you do anything to slightly give the impression he might be right, them thats very wrong. Judging a drunk is not wrong because that is the condition that they are in at that time. You mention "The rape she can't get over". Well I as a pastor I have had children and wives tell me that their dad was the one while drunk molested them. That my friend is much harder to listen to. Because a Pastor is required by law to report this to the police. Drinking has dome more to destroy men and women, families than anything. Ever hear about MADD, ask those who lost a loved one because a bar allowed someone to drink too much and drive away. Friend many pregnant women go into bars and yes they do take their babies to partake of the drink they are drinking. You need to be more careful about the praise you give those who choose of their own free will to take part of this drug. If you are involved with a ministry with these people then be a witness, just keep in mind others of us have a calling as well, and see perhaps just as many come to christ. We just do not go about telling outers how much better our ministry is. Brother learn to show humility and show some heart. justme |

1182 | CHRISTIAN PLAYING MUSIC IN BAR | Rom 14:22 | justme | 219093
Humbleheart: You were forgiven before you asked. To ask forgiveness is a humbling experience, and it takes a tender heart do do so, you are a humbleheart. I want to encourage you to seek the voice of God in His Word. No drean or message given only to us is ever as dependable as the written Word of God. Always my need to know the will of God has come through being in the Word of God. God has spoken to me in such deep and personal ways by being in His Word. You can depend on the Lord revealing His direction for you by reading Scripture. You can never go astray in trusting the Word of God, the Bible. Blessings. justme |

1183 | The gift of Tongues | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49410
Dear Grace and truth: You receieve the "Holy Spirit" (no such thing as ghost, mistranslation on KJV). That happens the very second Christ becomes your LORD! You don't ask for gifts! Do you? Gift6s are just that, given by the will of God. Why not ask for the gift of helps, or teaching, or giving? The gift of tongues is the least of all the gifts! Better, how about asking God to use you in seeking out lost souls and sharing Christ with then. I think you have spent far to much time seeking what may not be the gift God has for you. agape, just me |

1187 | asking for gifts of teh Spirit? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49479
Dear Jydubb: Please pray instead, that I remain in the center of the LORDS will. I know my gift's and God allows me the humble use of them as He needs me to be of service. Brother remember being a Baptist, "or what ever church you choose to associate with, no more makes you a christian; anymore than going to McDonalds makes you a hamburg." Kieth Green said that in the late eighties before his going home with our Lord. So let the Word speak louder than any messenger you hear on the radio or TV. God Bless you friend. agape, justme |

1188 | The gift of Tongues | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49697
Dear friend in no way do I know more than any translator. I am sorry for any thing that gave that impression. I do read what other wiser and more up to date translators say. I have no problem with the KJV, in fact it makes no difference to me if you read from the orignal 1611 version, it still has what is essential for growth an to speak to who ever will take the time to read it. May I suggest that that you seem to be rather raw in the nerves when tongues come up. I defend you right to express anything you want and feel is a way of showing how Gods love has brought you closer to Him with whatever gitt you have.Just please respect those who do not have that gift, and don't expect everyone to understand you spiritual growth. We all mature at different paces. Maturity tales a life time not a quick few years. I am you brother in Christ and you have the right to expect love amd kindness from me and every one else in the Forum! That is Christ command and I hope I am following that. Agape, justme |

1189 | The 9 Manifestations in I Cor 12 | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49699
No,I ment Romans 14:1. We are to accept people who we mighy consider different. Perhaps one who speaks in tongues thinks that is an assurance of high spirituality. Yet someone else feels the gift of teaching is greater than togues. If we respect and show love to each other is that not even greater? I have never failed to see this issue of tongues divide believers, when in fact it shouls unite us. I am in no way braging, I have spoken in a prayer tongue once, and I did not pray for in, I know it was real. I have no problem, except I would prefer to let my gifts be manifasted where others tell me that they see God at work in me through the gift He has given me. agape, justme |

1191 | women? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 77517
greatfullydead:I think if you remember the culture and then look at what the women did do you might see it in a better light. Look at who was supporting Paul, many are the names of women. Jesus was ministered to by women. In context of the culture the women were elevated far above what was the norm at that time/ I do not see how we can call culture of that time a Biblical example of how we are to treat women today. Here is a point. What is the most valued thing in a church? I beleive it is the babies and children. Rarely do men minister to those babies or toddlers. Why not? If anyone has a doubt that that is not evangelism may I suggest any man do it for a year or two. Look at the mission field, there are many single women on the field doing it all. Often with out being "ordained" by a denomination! I have been to Bolivia in the most desolate place I hope to ever be again. There was a couple of women Missionaries doing ministry that was beyond my expectations. God Called them. They obeyed and and at a cost above most of would be willing to pay. What is leadership? Leadership is nothing less than obediance to Christ call and doing it. Billy Ghrams daughter is a evangelist, and is very effective. The United States history of women in ministry is a subject that will really amaze you. There are women in every church position today. I am not a femminist at all, even though I have strong feelings of support of women in ministry, I do see the practical side of the odds against women being accepted by the conserative end of the church. I am not liberral at all, but I have reservations about women pastors. However I see some denominarions that allow men who have been unfaithfull in sexual purity, allowed to stay in ministry, or in some really messed up churches allowing homosexuals pastor. The perveted culture of our time has a pendalem sings in swings. The proof of Gods Call in ones life is the equiping of God in ones life and then the ministry that follows. "Who am I to judge some of these issues", is how I think sometimes. I hope this is'nt to confusing, I have tried to explain a very complicated issue. Peace. justme |

1192 | Is masturbation a sin ?scripture confirm | 1 Corinthians | justme | 170182
JeffBradt: It would be helpful when responding to a note to look at the date it was posted, which in your case was Oct. 15, 2005. The person has perhaps changed their e-mail site, or who knows what. I try to avoid these kind of questions, as they can be just kids joking and making fun. Even this is 2006 there is still a stigma when giving opinions that may or may not be what you consider sould solid advice. Better to say nothing then to prove we are nuts by what we say. Justme |

1193 | Christians living together outside of ma | 1 Corinthians | justme | 193994
PutGodFirst: I would encourage you to consider this painful choice. Perhaps attending and saying he has made the rught choice now, just might open the door for recconcilation. This is a huge major event in their life. Tell them what you did in the past was sinful, and wrong, but we pray you are making the correct choice now. Perhaps not attending might push him and his bride farther away from Christ. Your attending just might show them that there is forgiveness, because you are showing that they too can find the same in Christ.
1194 | Christians living together outside of ma | 1 Corinthians | justme | 194064
PutGodFirst: You emotional amd spiritual pain is very vivid. By what you have said I wonder if your son is genuinely born again. I have never seen a parent who did not attend a childs wedding, for such reasons, even mend the hurt feelings. To not attend may do more emotional damage to you, and drive the two of them even further from Christ. Have you and your husband sat down and prayed together about this? I believe husband and wife parying together is far less a practice than anyone could think. I think it is seldom if ever that couples pray together. My wife and I have seen so much happen when we pray together. We are retired, and we live 24, 7 together and this will put any marriage to the test. If couples just could understand how asking God together for winsdom and the way to show others mercy, grace, and Christian love, and to remember that how we forgive others is reflected in our own forgiveness. We will pray for you and your husband as well your son and bride to be. Blessings. justme |

Hank: Your words are so kind and tender, sweet to the soul. What a great gift you have, the mastering of putting English words together in such beauty and love. I honestly admire your wisdom and kindness. Mrs. Justme and I have faced several pivotal points that either required a huge hug and forgiveness, or to put up a wall of turning our backs on those involved in a serious sinful situation. Seldom does walking away help the problem. Thank you for sharing your kind heart, and wisdom. Blessings. Justme (the Missouri mule) |

PutGodFirst: Without going into much detail, may I say we have exepeinced the same except even worse, more than five times in our lives. I can fully empathize with you. Hank has said it so kindly to you, and I would read his note again. By all you have said I sincerely doubt your son is born again. Which is one reason to look at this situation is a different way. Salt never attracts flys. Sugar attracts flys all on it's own. Kindness and extending God's Love, Mercy and Grace are the better solution to reach a lost son and his bride. May God grant you wisdom in what you so chose to do. Blessings justme |
