201 | Simple example that we shoud keep sabbat | Ps 111:7 | jlpangilinan | 58079
You said"But i guess it is a sin not to keep the Sabbath rest holy(do no work, nor make others do work etc..). " Jesus Christ, done works in sabbath. In the law of moses it is punisheable by death if you do works in sabbath, but Christ fulfilling the sabbath by doing good works. Mt 12:1 ¶ At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. Mt 12:11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? Mt 12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Mt 12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; Jesus Christ make Himself an example that we can do good in sabbath it is the same as honoring God. If you imagine today if you dont allow people to work in sabbath day and this people is a doctor, did you imagine how many patient brought in the hospital everyday? Could you imagine if someone dying in the hospital on sabbath day and there is no doctor will attend to you because the cannot go to work? What do you think? God bless, Johnny |

202 | Simple example that we shoud keep sabbat | Ps 111:7 | jlpangilinan | 58226
What is your point my friend are you going to me that it is ok to a doctor to go work on sabbath day? or you are going to say that the sabbath day is applicable to us the same as moises did. If you say that we have to observe sabbath as moises do make sure that you stone to death anyone that gathering stick in sabbath day. As I quoted Jesus Christ fulfill sabbath with the deep meaning, not the same as the old testament do but with a deep meaning. Gid bless, Johnny |

203 | Simple example that we shoud keep sabbat | Ps 111:7 | jlpangilinan | 59279
I want to clarify somethings, do you agree with me or you arguing me? Are you suggesting that we have to keep the sabbath like what moses observed it or the one of Jesus Christ? My previous post explain that we have to keep the sabbath as what Christ observed it. If we observe it like what OT teach we must not go out of our place in the day of sabbath. Ex 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. In my previous post I quoted the verses that Christ go to the corn fields and eat, meaning He go out His place with His disciples, Did He break the law? God bless, Ex 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. |

You said"I disagree with your opinion that God would give instruction and Messiah would not follow it. If Messiah broke the Law then he would not be a perfect sacrifice, He would not have been worthy to redeem us from the wages of our sin. I don't think that you intend to say that the Messiah kept Torah imperfectly but that seems to be what you are hinting at." Did I say that Jesus Christ did not follow it, I never say that, please if you want to make a discussion dont tell a lie. You accusing me here with things that I never committed. If going back to my previous previous post what I say there that he took corns and ate with His disciples but I never say that He disobey the law of sabbath. You said"There was no law for Moses and a Law for Christ. They are the same." You are terrible wrong we Christian we are justified by law of moses but by Christ Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. There is new commandment, why you said they are the same what do you think of Paul? did he lie by writing this Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. Not according to the covenant that given to moses it is very clear. I want you to answer this before further discussion. Did you observed the law correctly? Did you stoned to death you brother and sisters caught in adultery did you do that? If you find them gathering stick in the day of sabbath did you kill them? Are you really dont go out your place in the day of sabbath? If you did not observe them correctly, here what my Lord God Jesus say about that! Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. God bless Johnny |

"You said No. It isn't my job to decide who gets stoned or to do that. That is a job for the elders of the community. Please see previous posts on the other thread for the biblical reason for this." Did you pratice that today your community or your religion. If you really observe the law you should observed it completely or my lord will call you hypocrytes! If your torah is complete then we dont need Jesus Christ to save us but because the torah has fault then we need for a second: Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Keeping the commandment of Christ is not ignoring the law or the sabbath but observing it with a deep meaning as Christ give himself as example. The law of moses taught not to go out of place in the day of sabbath Christ taught that we can do good in the day of sabbath! You said: I am sorry for my inflammatory remarks. What I was trying to say was that I felt like you were saying that there were two ways to keep Torah. Could I quote you from a previous post? Keeping of sabbath of moses is different of what from the teaching of Christ, as I said the law taught not to go out of place in the day of sabbath, but Christ allowing us to do good in the day of sabbath. If we use a little logic if the torah can justify us what is the need of Christ for us. I am not under the commandments of the law but under the commandments of Christ. Just to give you the example that the law of Christ is different from the law of moses: Mt 5:43 ¶ Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 43. SME Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; De 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: I think you have now the idea what is the differences of the law of moses and the law of Christ. Christ observed the sabbath different in what moses taught to the people of Israel. God bless Johnny |

207 | where is the holy spirit | Ps 139:7 | jlpangilinan | 116262
Dont worry everyone is welcome to share his comments. Unfortunately your comments is not agreeable for me, it is impossible that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is One Person. Too many scriptures proved that they are seperate Being. If you are correct that they are same Person or One Person, kindly explain these verse to me. Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. If they are the same Person as you claim, how come that it is only the Father knew that information? Jesus Christ must know that. Mr 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? If they are the same Person, why Christ has to cry to His Father, Why He has to said "My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me"? Did He forsake Himself? Joh 14:28 ¶ Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. In John 14:28 Jesus Christ said "I go unto the Father: for the My Father is greater than I. If they are the same Person, how come that the Father is Greater than Jesus Christ? why He need to go to His Father if Jesus is the Father Himself? Kindly explain, |

208 | where is the holy spirit | Ps 139:7 | jlpangilinan | 116283
Colin my argument, is very clear that they are not the same Person. There are Three Person Father Son Holy Spirit, but they are not the same Person, if they are the same Person as you did claim Christ must knew the information that the Father knew. It is not mystery Christ accepted that His Father is greater than He is. Meaning they are not the same Person. Joh 14:28 ¶ Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. God bless, |

211 | Earth will abide for ever? | Ecclesiastes | jlpangilinan | 75693
SRP, As a believer, I can easily accept that Bible will not contradict each other, how about if someone that very young in the scriptures will ask us about that verse, is that a valid explaination, that we should believe because it was written. Tell me if the reason that I brought up is not valid that solomon has no idea of ressurection yet nor has the idea that this world will be vanish and God will replace it with a "new heaven and new earth" I will post that question again, to get some other point, thanks very much for your time. God bless, |

212 | Earth will abide for ever? | Ecclesiastes | jlpangilinan | 75699
Tim, Yes it helps. Your answers is very similar to what our brothers explain in our local telivision, he also said that solomon really want to emphasize that the generations will come and goes, but the earth remain "for ever" or at least remain lasts over the generations. I am very thankful to received comment such as what you gave, I am more confident that I can give the same explaination on this verse if someone ask me or trying to attack the Bible using that verses. Knowing that I get the same explainations coming from different people and even from different country. In fairness to JWitnessess, that very verse are one of thier main reason not to believe that this earth that we have now will going to pass. See you in the forum! God bless Johnny |

214 | when we die where do we go | Eccl 12:7 | jlpangilinan | 24771
Nolan, Are those spirit exists, meaning are they know where they are? I would like you to explain the parable of Jesus Christ: Lu 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: Lu 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Lu 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 29. The rich man, talking about his brethen that left in the world. it is the same with the answer that they have prohets, moses let hear them. It is not yet the final judgement, the richman existed in hell while his brethen, existed in earth. Hope you could explain it to me. Lu 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. Lu 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. God bless, Johnny |

215 | when we die where do we go | Eccl 12:7 | jlpangilinan | 25018
Nolan, Thanks for the answer. Your statement:"In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Paul deals with the "dead in Christ" and assures the Thessalonian Christians that there will be a reunion of loved ones and that they will recognize their loved ones in the eternal state." I would like to put some passages here that somehow I feel will contradict some of your satement: Mt 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. Mt 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. Mt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. This is not a debate, I would like you to explain such things like this, sometimes it bothers me. I cited in Luke 16:19-31, the rich man, Lazarus. Here if we noticed they recognize there brethen in earth, but we look at some scriptures it will somehow having some problems: Ec 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Ec 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. In that passages I think has different meaning from a parable that I quoted. Hope you can explain those. God bless, Johnny |

217 | Question about Tyre | Is 23:1 | jlpangilinan | 63394
Information on Tyre a rock, now es-Sur; an ancient Phoenician city, about 23 miles, in a direct line, north of Acre, and 20 south of Sidon. Sidon was the oldest Phoenician city, but Tyre had a longer and more illustrious history. The commerce of the whole world was gathered into the warehouses of Tyre. "Tyrian merchants were the first who ventured to navigate the Mediterranean waters; and they founded their colonies on the coasts and neighbouring islands of the AEgean Sea, in Greece, on the northern coast of Africa, at Carthage and other places, in Sicily and Corsica, in Spain at Tartessus, and even beyond the pillars of Hercules at Gadeira (Cadiz)" (Driver's Isaiah). In the time of David a friendly alliance was entered into between the Hebrews and the Tyrians, who were long ruled over by their native kings (2Sa 5:11; 1Ki 5:1; 2Ch 2:3). Tyre consisted of two distinct parts, a rocky fortress on the mainland, called "Old Tyre," and the city, built on a small, rocky island about half-a-mile distant from the shore. It was a place of great strength. It was besieged by Shalmaneser, who was assisted by the Phoenicians of the mainland, for five years, and by Nebuchadnezzar (B.C. 586-573) for thirteen years, apparently without success. It afterwards fell under the power of Alexander the Great, after a siege of seven months, but continued to maintain much of its commercial importance till the Christian era. It is referred to in Mt 11:21; Ac 12:20. In A.D. 1291 it was taken by the Saracens, and has remained a desolate ruin ever since. "The purple dye of Tyre had a worldwide celebrity on account of the durability of its beautiful tints, and its manufacture proved a source of abundant wealth to the inhabitants of that city." Both Tyre and Sidon "were crowded with glass-shops, dyeing and weaving establishments; and among their cunning workmen not the least important class were those who were celebrated for the engraving of precious stones." (2Ch 2:7,14). The wickedness and idolatry of this city are frequently denounced by the prophets, and its final destruction predicted (Isa 23:1; Jer 25:22; Eze 26:1-21; 28:1-19; Am 1:9-10; Zec 9:2-4). Here a church was founded soon after the death of Stephen, and Paul, on his return from his third missionary journey spent a week in intercourse with the disciples there (Ac 21:4). Here the scene at Miletus was repeated on his leaving them. They all, with their wives and children, accompanied him to the sea-shore. The sea-voyage of the apostle terminated at Ptolemais, about 38 miles from Tyre. Thence he proceeded to Caesarea (Ac 21:5-8). "It is noticed on monuments as early as B.C. 1500, and claiming, according to Herodotus, to have been founded about B.C. 2700. It had two ports still existing, and was of commercial importance in all ages, with colonies at Carthage (about B.C. 850) and all over the Mediterranean. It was often attacked by Egypt and Assyria, and taken by Alexander the Great after a terrible siege in B.C. 332. It is now a town of 3,000 inhabitants, with ancient tombs and a ruined cathedral. A short Phoenician text of the fourth century B.C. is the only monument yet recovered." Easton Bible Dictionary God bless, Johnny |

220 | does eternal have a beginning? | Jer 1:5 | jlpangilinan | 22812
It is nothing goes with your topic. My question is: Did Adam knows the concept of Heaven: Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. I am very interested to know it, meaning if there are scriptures that will support that Adam knew the concept of Heaven. (maybe he knows that God is in heaven) that if He disobey God His soul will be tormented in Hell. Or is he also will informed that If he obey God his Soul will go to heaven. We have promises of Heaven from Christ, but it seems Adam not knowledgeable about it: Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Nolan, I post this question many times in the forum, it seems they dont have the answers yet. I hope you can help explaining it to me. God bless, Johnny |
