You are correct ... Gods Ambassage is a fountain of falsehoods and a Bullinger parrot. Please don't listen to this one. PS The childbirth pain is one of the greatest ... and there are times during the 9 months, there are other pains. I am glad men don't have this pain. |

483 | explain II Chronicles 7:14 | OT general | Searcher56 | 179099
God's day to you, Jeff I wanted hickory to get notified of another view. Not all prophecies, promises and penalties apply to everyone. Some are limited to a specific person or people ... even a limited period or place. "If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people" is very specific and does not mean trials. Moreover, the context shows it is about Israel and Solomon only (vv 17ff). Searcher |

Radioman ... it is by implication. What do you think they did it they would of found something not true? Gossip about how Paul was wrong or go to him? Then, if the later, would Paul say he knows better or make adjustments? I am not judging every church around the world. I need to know the truth so well, that when there is error, that I will notice it. I do not wait "in the bushes" looking/ waiting for error. I want to hear nothing but the truth. So when I think there is error, I speak up. The speaker has the chance to show me why he is right. There are times I have not seen what he was saying, so I adjusted my thought patterns. Most of the time I was correct. Some received correction, others refused. |

489 | How did Paul know they were checking? | NT general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 7939
What does "they searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so" mean? In the NIV it says "to see if what Paul said was true". Both give the same meaning. I'll let you answer YES, NO or DON'T KNOW ... 1. Does this mean they were checking what Paul said? 2. Did they tell Pual they were checking him out? 3. Was Paul always right? 4. If he was wrong, dis he accept what they said? 5. Do you know where Paul talks about false teachers? ... if so, what did he say to do to them? Again, I say it is by implication. |

496 | tongues: are there 2 kinds? | NT general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 17545
Tim, who is doing the groaning in Roamns 8:26? Since it is something that words cannot express, is it a language? Isn't a tongue a language made up of words? So how could anyone claim that this passage is speaking in tongues? ... I see the Holy Spirit is groaning and not speaking in any tongue. Steve |

498 | meaning of numbers in the bible | NT general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 21250
Need Scripture support ... Casiv, BTW sixty-six is never associated with idol worship. So you think the number two is both union and division ... aren't these opposites? Now go search EVERY instance of these numbers as they appear in the Bible and see if what you say is true. Do you understand? Searcher |

499 | meaning of numbers in the bible | NT general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 21293
Rebuttal ... Gen 46:26 and Lev 12:5 ....... Casiv, so if you add the height and breadth of one idol is the basis for making 66 idol worship. WRONG. I would say multipy 60 by 6, then you get 360. Which I think was the number of days in a year. Would you make 360 the number of idol worship? Plus, Gen 46:26 and Lev 12:5 have the number 66 and is this related to idol worship? Yes or no. I love to refute "experts" ... E.W Bullinger is WRONG also about "Separation and Division" (Gen 1:6-8) being related to the number 2. What about Gideon when he divided his men into three companies (Jud 7:16)? "Separation and Division" is not just related to two or three. I challange you to search the Scriptures no matter what man speaks (Acts 17:11), Searcher |

ashestobeauty and Tim ... Several points to consider -the magi weren't under Roman rule -they may of learned about prophecy handed down by Daniel (as Tim said) -the magi probably rode Persian steeds and had troop support -Herod's army may been out of town -they may of wanted to put another thorn in the Herod's side by declaring Him "King of the Jews" -Herod was crazy, so killing children less than two may of been overkill Therefore I don't think there was a delay of leaving or the trip. I also think they knew exactly when He would of been born. They got there soon after the purification on day 40. Searcher |
