3106 | Can we agree? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 17451
Norrie, Just because Copeland said in 9 mos, you should expect to send some baby announcements, does not mean he knew. I imagine he has been wrong at least once. Therefore, he must be disregarded forever ... we cannot stone him (Deu 13). Also, I doubt the Bible says Adam gave the dominion to Satan. It may sound 95 percent good. Steve |

3107 | Can we agree? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 17937
Kelkat, Christ was 100 correct, all the time. While preachers should be speaking the absolute 100 percent truth, I think many fail. However, when they twist the truth, they need to be challanged. It could be our view of the Word is not correct, or theirs. Either way, the one who is not correct needs to adjust. If the preacher does not, people shoild leave. Yes, for one error, that he refuses to correct. Steve

3112 | what about the Jewish feasts | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102058
Scripture ... Col 2:16-17 ... "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- (17) things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. This passage does not say these are done away with, nor does it say "the reality is Christ" ... it says "the substance belongs to Christ" |

3113 | what about the Jewish feasts | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102061
Scripture ... Hebrews 9 - 10 ... is the only replacement. There is no longer a need for the blood sacrifice 0 He He is once, for all. Moreover, Hebrews show the OT is incomplete with Christ ... and did He say He was going to abolish the Law and prophets or fulfill? |
||||||
3114 | Taleb, Are you a NT only person ? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102080
Taleb, where does the Bible say "The WHOLE LAW HAS FOUND ITS FULFILLMENT in this one saying: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself ..."
3115 | Taleb, Are you a NT only person ? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102116
Taleb, Your old car insurance expires ... but the OT has not past away (Matt 5:17-19) |
||||||
3116 | Taleb, Are you a NT only person ? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102118
However it does not say the Law was fulfilled.
3117 | Taleb, Are you a NT only person ? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102119
Scripture ... Mat 22:36-40, Gal 5:1-26 ... Based on the context of Galatians 5:14 and Mat 22:36-40 ... loving my neighbor is only part of the Law (commandment 7-10) ... if you fail to love God, you will go to Hell. |
||||||
3118 | what about the Jewish feasts | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102127
Scripture ... Mat 5:17-19 ... He did fulfill the Law AND PROPHETS (don't foget the second half) ... and the Lord Jesus Christ said He didn't come to abolish them (Mat 5:17-19) ... and I suggest you read the warning of verse 19. Better doesn't mean the OT is done away with ... as with when the QB throws a pass, unless it is caught it is incomplete (listen to the Denver Broncos home games when the vistors throws an incomplete pass ... the crowd says INCOMPLETE) ... plus the receiver needs the QB to throw the pass. The OT is incomplete without the NT (Jesus) ... and the NT needs the OT to understand the Bible completely. Taleb, you have returned ... and we know what you have said before. |
||||||
3119 | Taleb, Are you a NT only person ? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102169
Once again you ignore the context ... and I would say Ghandi loved all w/o loving YHWH.
3120 | Asis, Where are we told don't follow OT? | Hebrews | Searcher56 | 102379
Scripture ... Acts 15 ....................... Asis ... You still haven't answered the question ... the context does not show your claim "Christians who are from the Gentiles are not directed to follow the commands given to the Jews in the Tanahk" ... Take note of Acts 15:1 ... there were some who said the Gentiles needed to be circumcised to be saved ... read the rest of the chapter to see what was decided. Searcher |
