3096 | Will believers see great tribulation? | Bible general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 14761
CDBJ, You asked "Where do people find the imminency of the rapture in Scripture?" ... Rev 22:20 is one verse. He is returning soon., and when He does He will gather His elect (Matt 24:31). The common ground is that He will return, there will be a period of great tribulation, a 1000 year reign of Christ, etc. The order is in question. I rather study other parts of the Bible. I say these will happen - I want to be ready. Steve |

3099 | What or Who is wisdom? 1 Cor 1:30 | John 15:1 | Searcher56 | 14745
Kindness ... You asked, "Do you think in Prov. 8 we have wisdom personified?" ... Yes, as well as folly in the surrounding chapters. It gives a better illustration. You asked, "Why is wisdom spoken of in the feminine gender? Is it a Hebrew language thing?" ... Possibly. I think it was the mothers that taught their children. Timothy learned from his mother and grandmother (2 Tim 1:5). I think it is one reason why the mother's names are listed when the king's are mentioned. Steve |
