386 | angelic beings pro-create or not? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108351
Ed, I can produce many a source that would also support my point of view, and I have already done it here at this Forum. As for my Jewish friend, he is dead now. But there will be no "convincing me" on this topic, my friend. Makarios |

390 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108343
Greetings Ed, For you to make the "leap" that angels can procreate because they can assume shape is so much more of a leap than I saying that angels cannot procreate, because I cannot find such an occurrence in God's Holy Word, and I am, in fact, told otherwise about their nature and being. Makarios |

391 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108341
Greetings EdB, I disagree with you simply because of the reason FOR your doubt, my friend. If you did not doubt that angels do not procreate with each other, then what makes you so sure? Makarios |

||||||
394 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108333
Greetings Ed, I have already considered all of what you say. But the simple fact of the matter is, is that you cannot make the 'leap' to procreation from the fact that the Bible does mention that certain angels took the shape of men. And I believe that to do so would be to clearly in the area of speculation. Makarios |
||||||
395 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108330
Ed, I have considered them. And they do nothing to change my position on this matter. I believe that your position bring up so many questions. May I attack your position as vehemently as you are attacking mine? For instance, do you believe that angels continue to procreate with other angels, or human beings? Does God procreate? Are you into believing such a thing as that? I am so much less inclined to speculate on this topic. Makarios |
||||||
396 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108328
Greetings Ed, I believe that they do. I believe that there is absolutely nothing "linguistically untrue" about the words of Jesus. Makarios |

397 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108327
Oh yes there are. Here are a few. Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:25; Luke 20:35 |

398 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108326
Greetings Ed! When I answer, I do not answer as "quickly" as it may seem to you, my friend. :-) No, I do not believe that a "sexual" sin would have been responsible for the angels rebelling against God and turning into demons. I believe that the angels that rebelled against God did so out of pride (Isaiah 14:14). I believe that it was pride that killed their relationship with God. I do not believe that angels have bodies of sin, as we do, that would make them susceptible to such 'bodily sins' as lust. And I believe that there is nothing in Scripture that would prove this- that angels also have bodies of sin, as we do. Makarios |

399 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Gen 6:2 | Makarios | 108325
Ok, EdB. Heb 1:7 And of the angels He says, "WHO MAKES HIS ANGELS WINDS, AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE." Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? Ed, I really do not wish to "talk down" to you, my friend. But what you have said, about angels procreating, is in my mind a clear violation regarding the nature of angels and their nature of being. In the two passages I cited above, we are told that angels are 'spirits.' In this way, I come to my conclusion that their very nature does not consist of procreation, but was created each and individually by God, who also is spirit (John 4:24). Makarios |

Greetings Kalos, I most certainly agree! Now, if angels cannot procreate then, then they would not be able to procreate at any other point. The nature or "being" of angels does not change in Scripture, unless you speak of the fallen angels. Blessings to you, Makarios |
