Good, so we won't take offense, right? It is very important, as far as I'm concerned that we have an understanding as to where we get some of what we declare as "Gospel". Often it is Gospel according to....someone who has an agenda beyond that of "bringing son's into glory" and "knowledge of the kingdom of God".

[Doctrine cannot be made on the strength of a single verse. What can you offer in way of support for your use of Rom 4:15? You will also need to prove that departed infants are not elect! Which leads us back to the basis of election in the first place.] Is that what I'm doing here? If you can show that infant's, in some way, have an understanding of the law of God and are therefore accountable, I'll agree with you. |

The Cross removes us from the picture. Huh!? We indeed become earthen vessels for Him. Well how do you reconcile that with what you already stated? He said for us to stay in Him and He will stay in us. How do you do that? He has given us His Spirit to empower us to do what He requires. What does He require of us? We indeed become instruments of righteousness. When? How? Get out of the way. Let God be God. Stop trying to help Him do His will. He can do it all Himself. Really? Without us? How do you get out of the way? We think it is our job to do the will of God. I thought it was. Do you mean it isn't? How's that? God has given us His word to provide us with a guide to explain what He has provided for, done to, made, completed in us through faith in Jesus Christ. Yeah. I surely understand that but I'm not sure you do. Can you elaborate a little more as to what the specifics of your post might mean to a person who really doesn't have a clue as to what you are speaking of? |

All infants, John, are without sin because there is no law for them to grasp that they should take into themselves. Therefore they are innocence because where there is no law there is no sin. Romans 4:15 (NASB-U) for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no *law, there also is no violation. [*Imputed to the understanding] |

Answer: All that had been prophecied in the OT regarding the Messiah had to be fulfilled..John I'll give you the 30. Please explain the 3 1/2 yrs, John? Why the choosing of the twelve and all the other "ministry" associated; Physical healings and miracles performed by Him? Why not straight to the cross. [ I understand about Daniel, so don't go there] |

Men are elected "to salvation," "to the adoption of sons," "to be holy and without blame before him in love" (2 Thess. 2:13; Gal. 4:4, 5; Eph. 1:4). The ultimate end of election is the praise of God's grace (Eph. 1:6, 12). Do mean they have no say in the matter? |

Lot's, Joe. But I'll let you think about that for awhile. ....While you're thinking consider all the bad thoughts you still entertain then think about your own "purity" and ask a few questions of yourself. The first one maybe should be, "How come if Jesus saved me"? |

agree that it is not Scripture. However, the statement that the WCF is not biblical (i..e. that its contents are contrary to the Bible) is a reflection of denominational bias....Joe How so? WCF is an 'interpretation' of that which is Biblical and therefore is open to challenge. In that I mean they have an emphasis they wish to probagate. Make sense? Ken |

Who said we should, with regard to evangelism? And how do you know that the parents were unregenerate? They were bringing their children to Jesus, after all...Joe How could they be otherwise? |

[The kingdom belongs to SUCH as these, not specifically to them...] There is a difference between innocence and purity. A baby is innocent. Purity is from nuturing and not a given but must be learned in innocence. Jesus saves to make innocence by virtue of the new birth. Purity happens when we abide and are nutured into "son-ship". It says such AS these. Therefore I believe it safe to asumme Jesus means disposition and innocence; an imputation of Himself. Purifying is to happen when one hungers and thirsts and is fed "mother's milk"; an impartation of Christ through the teaching of the church. Hopefully 'mother's milk' is pure and not full of 'strodium 90'. |

Didn't say that. I made reference to the children of "unregenerate", "unelect" parents. Since Jesus made no distinctions, why should we? It is the 'disposition' of the child that the kingdom of God is so comprised....and requires. Jesus' words, not mine. |

Ok, but since it is an interpretation of a Biblical passage on which a demonination [s] has/have established itself/themselves, I can leave my comment stand that it is Calvinism, right?

Mark 10:14 (NASB-U) But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Don't you think it a bit strange that Jesus could say this and He wasn't even crucified? No one seems to ever ask that question. Salvation, for anyone, wasn't even made availabble for anyone at this point in time. Yet the little children were safe regardless of the "Elect". |

199 | What is my role in my sanctification? | NT general Archive 1 | Ken hepting | 99822
Great explanation! If I may I'd like to push it a degree further. That it is not the character of Christ to be asmmilated into us but rather Himself; His wholeness. If it can be discerned to be a larger transformation it will take us beyond the 'WWJD' experience and take us further into the "becoming a son" journey.
200 | Stripping the Bible of Virgin | Is 7:14 | Ken hepting | 93881
I don't meant o be nit-picky but I wouldn't have a problem with it..and don't because, as I stated, the writers of the Gospels didn't have the problem. They understood "almah" to mean more than just "young maiden". Obviously the word must mean more than "young maiden" because of Mary's virginity, no? Stripping virginity from "almah" is an attempt to strip away the virgin birth. Critics do that sort of thing.
