Casiv I agree with the one world government, I agree that it will control what we buy and sell, I agree to be part of the system you will have to make an intentional decision to do so. However I disagree that Satan will not use something that everyone can see. Look around you gothic kids, and such put marks and wear symbols that proudly proclaim their allegiance to the dark side. Look at the witches and warlocks they too proudly display signs of Satan. Satan is no afraid of a little advertising in fact I think it plays right into his ego. No I think the mark of the beast is a visible physical mark that will be worn proudly by those deceived to believe the antichrist is the Christ. I think the mark will start out a s a fad, a thing the “in” crowd does but eventually the Antichrist will be so taken with the adoration he will demand everyone to exhibit his mark and pay homage to him. I believe the bible clearly shows the mark to be a visible mark, and I think once we come under the one world government you will not be able to buy or sell unless you carry the mark. I believe many of the things the things you do as far as how the one world government will come into being and what will motivate it. I don’t believe it in itself is an explanation of the mark. Now as far as you and being thick and etc. I don’t think your thick but I think your hiding something. You have been repeatedly asked by others on the forum, as to what group you belong, or what church do you attend. You have refused to answer. I happen to be Assemblies of God, others are Methodist, Brethren, Baptist, etc. What are you? I also see a relationship with Praisemaster that doesn’t seem correct, something is wrong there and I can’t put my hand on it. I do imagine others close to you have expressed the same concern. Maybe it is time to listen to them. EdB |

4606 | Rapture question? | 1 Thess 4:17 | EdB | 23408
Lookingfortruth I think that answer lies in Job 1. Job's children were killed in what was a test of Job. Also the answer lies in the story of Exodus, countless Egyptians died because Pharaoh refused to release Moses and the children of Israel. Think of the question this way. We would challenge God’s fairness in this action but we justify killing millions of babies by abortion arguing the women has a right. If God killed everyone on earth right now today He would be justified, since He was the one that created us. For us to even attempt to judge God and His actions is an insult to God’s sovereignty when did the created get to question the creator? God’s promise was that all things would work to the good of those that Love the Lord and was called to his purpose. He never said only good things happen. Besides what is important is where we spend eternity not when we die. It could be within God's plan to rapture the pilot and thus cause everyone on the plane to be saved before their death. How is that for hypothetical? EdB |

4607 | A divorced pastor in ministry? | 1 Tim 3:2 | EdB | 23404
Kalos I'm not trying to be rude here but read on what does MacArthur say further on in this dicussion? That while he (MacArthur) does not see verse 2 excluding a divorced man the other verse may. Also go back to the priest hood. One major thing that exempted a Levite from serving as a priest was divorce. I know we are not under the law but why do you think God made that stipulation? His sin could be atoned for by a blood offering so it wasn't sin. What could it be? Whatever it is God must have a reason. Then the question is, is that still valid today? I say yes I think it is. Again I'm talking a Christian that was married and divorce after salvation. I think for people that are married and divorce and then saved, they have become new creations, the old has passed away. So I'm only talking about Chrsitians that get divorced here. EdB |

Casiv Your a treat! The numbering system is hexadecimal or base 16 not "hex". Casiv I don't know where you got my fear factor from but I assure you the only thing I fear is not representing God as I should. And that fear is not that God will get mad at me but rather that I might tarnished the name of Christianity (as so many have today). Rest easy my friend I live and breath and have my being in Christ Jesus and I in Him comes a peace that passes all understanding. Now about labeling you. Casiv I never intended nor attempted to label you. I merely said that you evaded direct questions and by that action I felt you lost some credibility with the forum and with me. As to the mark of the beast you said you had the answer, I respectfully requested you to tell me that answer, You provided “a” answer but when I mentioned what I saw to be a conflict between your answer and Bible and asked for you to resolve that conflict you got hostile. My question still stands if the mark of the beast is Ideology as you stated then how will it be taken and how will anyone know where you stand? I think the Bible clearly indicates it will be some form of physical mark. If you don’t see this fine help me understand what you see. There is no reason to get hostile. As for the number eleven that my friend was a spoof (an attempt at humor). I thought it to be very funny evidently you mistakenly took it as real. I’m sorry it was lost on you. :-) EdB |

4609 | A divorced pastor in ministry? | 1 Tim 3:2 | EdB | 23335
Tim I don't think divorce should be the unforgivable sin. But I do think it exempts one from serving as a pastor. I read your other post on the subject and my heart goes out to you and what you went through. I agree that many times instead of becoming a weaker Christian we become stronger through the trials we endure. I have no doubt of your unwavering love for the Lord and your desire to serve Him. I just don't see your service to God via pastoring. Is that making you a second class citizen as it were? No, God doesn't call everyone to the pastorate and surely they aren't second class. I think honoring God’s prohibition against divorce and pastoring is showing an unselfish love. Too many say I love God but I have my rights. This is exactly what happens in many marriages, people love each other but want their rights. The commitment and love God is looking for is to forget self even unto death walking holy before the Lord. While I can hurt for you, and I can assure you God has laid this all down and your not a second class citizen, scripture says you are however exempted from duty as a pastor. There are literally thousands of other ways to serve God, many more important and farther reaching than a local pastor, why insist on this one way? Again my heart and my prayers go out to you my brother. EdB |

4610 | What is 666? | Revelation | EdB | 23333
Debbie Look what they are talking about a national ID card and an Iris scan. Using a Iris scan you don't have to implant anything (which costs money) and you can track people where ever they go. The computer can contain all the data. I expect to see this replace money and credit cards if they go with it. There will be no need for either to buy or sell. All you will do is enter the amount look into a scanner and your account will credited or debited the exact amount and no one can steal or use your card. However is this the mark of the beast? Absolutely not. The Bible says the mark will show those that worship the beast. I suspect it will be something simple like a tatoo and will probably start as a cultish fade thing to do to show honor to a great leader, but soon that leader will demand everyone to have the mark and worship him. Those without the mark won't be able to buy or sell because without the mark everyone will be afraid (at penalty of death) to deal with you and since all transactions will be done by computer with iris scans the government would know instantly. I don't believe the mark of the beast will have anything to do with commerce or computers or id. The mark will be an act of worship. EdB |

4611 | What is 666? | Revelation | EdB | 23285
Bianna Would you please give the bible verse that shows the mark of the beast is a computer chip. If you say jack Van Impe said it remember Jack Van Impe prophetized the end of the world at Y2K and is now saying God has shown him this world is eternal. You know them by their fruit and his fruit stinks. Also look up what God says about men that say "God said" and it doesn't come to pass, I think you find something about stones. |

4612 | Isn't the computer bad? | Revelation | EdB | 23282
Brianna Your right about the computer wrong about Jack Van Impe. this man sat on TV for over 6 months claiming the end of the world with Y2K. Nothing happened, yet he repeatedly said God had shown him. I also know for a fact many experts and and theologians went to Him and asked that he stop scaring people as a way to sell his material he refused. He was wrong and to me that makes me question everyhing he says. In fact in the Old Testament days I think they would have called him a false prophet. Now he claims the world will never end and that God revealed this to him 2 years ago. Yet 2 Pet 3:10 and 1 John 2:17 clearly say this world is passing away. Listen to him if you want but please don't say he knows what he is saying. |

4613 | anti-christ revealed before rapture? | 2 Thess 2:3 | EdB | 23101
Nolan Again you assume your view is the right view. A high number of bible scholars agree with my position over yours. I think we are a empasse not because we can't articulate our idea clearly enough. I think we are at an empasse because for whatever reason we see the scriptures to say something different than the other. Yours is an idea that was held for many years, mine is a rather new idea last 200 or so years but is probably the most widely accepted. Of this I'm certain Jesus is Coming back. And when he does one of us is going to say wow was I wrong, but you know what? Being wrong won't bother us because it will be overshadowed by the Glory of the Lord. I live for that Day! I wait for that Day! And if it took agreement between us for that day to happen I would agree with you in a second, however it doesn't and I reserve my right to disagree with you on this. Besides just think how much fun one of us will have being able to kiddingly say to the other in heaven nay nay I was right! One Day together with the Lord EdB |

4614 | Are new worship songs scripturally OK? | Bible general Archive 1 | EdB | 23095
Rainonme First all caps is considered shouting so please I'm right here don't shout, turn off your all caps. No one said all new songs were wrong only the ones that are worshipping ourselves or Satan rather than God. Secondly ask yourself is it your spirit that gets focused or your emotions? God gives emotions and they are good. But we should be able to worship without of an emotional high or else we are using worship as a spiritual "fix". Again I'm not saying emotions don't come into play or we should never get emotional in our worship we should. I guess the question that begs an answer is what comes first the worship or the emotions? Be blessed EdB |

4615 | anti-christ revealed before rapture? | 2 Thess 2:3 | EdB | 23092
Nolan I still see a difference between the coming of the Lord for His church and the Second coming of Jesus. 1 Thess 4 is talking about the Lord coming for his church. The other verses are talking about Jesus coming to reign on earth. I can't imagine why you can't see that also. EdB |

4617 | Are new worship songs scripturally OK? | Bible general Archive 1 | EdB | 23066

4618 | Are new worship songs scripturally OK? | Bible general Archive 1 | EdB | 23065
Searcher I know your views on worship and for the most part I agree. Most of what is called worship in church is really entertainment of the congregation. However there are people that truly know how to worship and truly enter in. As far as having to do it a certain way, man looks at the outward appearance God looks at the heart. Love you my Brother EdB |

4619 | A divorced pastor in ministry? | 1 Tim 3:2 | EdB | 23064
Raul Again you have focused on what I said this time instead of the entire conversation. I said the only viable condition for divorce was if a spouse had already broken the marriage covenant. Your right Jews did divorce and Jesus answered them didn't he? If you want to use the Jews as an example look at the qualifications of a priest. Between the age of 30 and 50 (age discrimination) Male (gender discrimination) Married (marital status discrimination) Levite (ethnicity discrimination). Divorce was an automatic disqualifier. Were these discriminations or did God have particular reasons for these. I believe God knew what he wanted in a priest and asked for it. I think that is what we see in the passage in 1 Tim 3. I said that if a person were divorced before salvation I think they could become a Pastor. The case of your friend if the divorce took place before his salvation then yes I agree he could be a pastor. I just don't believe a Christian man or a women can be divorced and remarry and stay in a Pastor or become one. As to the other qualifications I have clearly shown how they eliminate a divorced person in my earlier responses. I'm not sure what your after, first the word plainly declares God hates divorce. Do you want to change that? To me God declares divorce causes exemption from being a Pastor only, why is that so hard to see a different standard there? Notice God did not set a particular standard for Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Teachers only Pastors, and Deacons why? Because they were going to have day to day contact with the people that other positions didn’t necessarily have. I believe this is why God required the man to understand by overcoming all the challenges that would effect a family. If you want to attend a church with a divorced pastor fine, but if your trying to convince me it is right, it ain’t gonna happen! A servant of the Most High EdB |

4620 | anti-christ revealed before rapture? | 2 Thess 2:3 | EdB | 23053
Nolan I still don't make the connection of the rapture to the Day of the Lord you do. None of these verses say it occurs at the same time and three describe Jesus touching earth the verse I see the rapture in shows Jesus remaining in the clouds. I don't see how you argue against the fact that the Bible shows that these events are seperate and distinct events. blessings to you my brother EdB |
