41325 | Suicide, lost? | Ex 20:13 | Hugger | 2828
I just discovered this thread on suicide. I would like to share my view of what the Word says. Judas was not lost because of suicide but because he was not a believer to begin with. Jesus didn't "lose" anyone that the Father gave to him. Judas was there to fulfill scripture. Look at John 13:18. Also, we can know Judas was not a believer because Satan entered into him (John 13:27) and anyone who belongs to the Lord cannot be possessed by Satan. I know this will probably open up another dialog for discussion :) Love In Christ, Hugger P.S. No one is lost by any one sin but by not accepting Christ into their hearts. Blessings :)
41326 | This is my point exactly! | Josh 19:40 | TerryM | 2827
This is my point exactly! Why pick on Dan? If we are not to take it literally , then why list any tribe at all? There has to be some significance in this omission.

41331 | Is there a time span between Gen 1:1,1:2 | Is 45:18 | Chucky1146 | 2809
This is a question that has been on my mind for quite some time, and I wonder if someone can help me out with an answere. How do scholars come up with the assumption that there is a long time span between Genesis 1:1, and 1:2? When I read it all I see is one time frame, like it all happened at the same time, but I could be wrong, because I have done no research at all on the subject. I would not even know where to begin to do research. If someone can help me, please do...Thanks |

41332 | The Rapture, when will it be? | Bible general Archive 1 | grammasusan | 2796
One of the first doctrines I was taught after my salvation was the pre-trib rapture, I accepted it without question. I had no reason to doubt that position, but in the past few years, I have begun to question the pre-trib rapture. In studying Matthew 24 and Revelation 7, specifically in order to bolster my waivering position, I have become even more unsure that the rapture will come before the tribulation. Obviously, it is a much more attractive belief than the alternatives, and I'd like to be long gone when all the unbridled sin is in full sway, but I'm not convinced. I feel that the scriptures always offered as proof are tempered by conflicting scriptures. I would like to have some feedback about this. Thank you for any scriptures, etc. you might have to offer.

41336 | Sexual lust vs. other lusts of flesh? | 1 Cor 6:18 | Chris | 2775
Why is it that we are asked to overcome all sins of the flesh, with the exception of sexual lust? If we have this desire we should satisfy it in a Biblical manner (marry), but still it is treated differently than other lusts of the flesh, any ideas why?
41337 | Is it a sin not to vote in elections? | 1 Timothy | Chris | 2755
Let me get more specific, I have heard preachers and pastors say that it is a sin not to vote in public elections. Surely, we can not claim sinfulness to an implication in a series of verses. (I Tim 2:1-3) I'd like more opinions on whether christians should vote in elections, and whether it is a sin not to vote? (Scripture, please)
41338 | Easter Bunnies...or Risen Lord? | John 11:25 | Hank | 2754
Here are a few questions, the answers and notes on which may help us all better to understand and celebrate this important season of the resurrection of our Lord. The word "Easter" is found in but one translation that is in common use? Which? What does Easter really mean? Do we actually know the time of year when the events of Holy Week took place? Who saw the Risen Christ first? What were His first words after His resurrection? How was Jesus different after His resurrection? How many people saw Him between His resurrection and His ascension? Were there doubters, even during this time? What about Easter bunnies and eggs? Do they have anything to do with the Christian celebration of Easter? Please do use Biblical references, but add if you feel moved, a brief witness of what this glorious event means to you.
41339 | Bible and evolution both? | Gen 1:1 | Hank | 2752

41340 | What about human cloning? | Gen 2:7 | Hank | 2749
We hear more and more about cloning. It's already happened in the animal world. Will human cloning be next? How would this impact the Christian community? Should human cloning be encouraged? Legalized? Would a human clone have a soul and spirit? What is your sense of what the Bible may or may not say, explicitly or implicitly, about human cloning? Do you think this is a vital issue for Christians to become involved in?What say ye all?
