AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Peter 3:1 In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands [subordinate, not as inferior, but out of respect for the responsibilities entrusted to husbands and their accountability to God, and so partnering with them] so that even if some do not obey the word [of God], they may be won over [to Christ] without discussion by the godly lives of their wives, [Eph 5:22] |
Bible Question: My huband and I have been seperated for two years. He is involved with a wordly woman. What do this mean? |
Bible Answer: Koda - welcome to the Forum. The purpose of this body is to discuss what the Bible says. The situation you have presented is personal in nature and I encourage you to seek the counsel of your Pastor or a Godly individual who is aquainted with your situation. In reference to your question, Peter is telling us to be Christlike in our responses to another's sin (in this I am inclinded to see the sin of unbelief). God is patient with us, not wanting any to perish. We are to set the example-keep to the "high road"! We do not repay evil with evil; in your anger, sin not. I also encourage you to read 1 Cor 7:15. Does this apply to your situation? May God guide and direct you. Blessings, mommapbs |
