NASB | 1 Corinthians 6:1 Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints? |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 6:1 Does any one of you, when he has a complaint (civil dispute) with another [believer], dare to go to law before unrighteous men (non-believers) instead of [placing the issue] before the saints (God's people)? |
Bible Question: I am being falsely acused in a adverse proceeding. As a Cristian what should I do? |
Bible Answer: Hello GJB, There is nothing inappropriate with hiring a lawyer to be your legal counsel and advocate. Just understand that 1 Cor 6:1-8 condemns believers going to court with other believers. In this case, the matter should go before the church. Steve |
