Subject: What about different denominations? |
Bible Note: Kalos Not to be argumentative but I have heard this discussion before. And it sounds good especially when we use words like essential truths or essential doctrines. And in some aspects it is true however what does the unsaved world see? Do they see agreement? Or do they see a church that appears to be divided and can't agree on nearly anything? Ask an unsaved friend. If they are like many I have went up to and asked this question their response will be one that should break every Christian's heart. One other thing no one seems to want to talk about. Scripture clearly tell us to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. How do you feel when a brother Christian believes your so wrong your very salvation may be jeopardy? there are denominations that teach against yours just that way. Or how do you feel when you know somewhere in church today some minister mocked your denomination and somewhere someone mocked his? We don't burn people at the stake anymore as they once did over denominational differences but we still sin against them by talking about them. Where is the unity? EdB |
